My observations from todays scrimmage

1 Not A. Nigro in the house
2 If they are gonna say it starts at 11:30, start at 11:30. Not a big deal, except you can only get 2 hrs time on the parking meter. Since it started a half hour late, I had to leave half way through the second half, and literally crossed Market next to the little fag writing tickets. I was in the car when he was 2 cars away from mine.
3 You know the part of the old Opera House on 14th that is below street level? The part where the homeless hang out? Can't someone please throw a couple of the air fresheners they put in urinals down there? The smell of piss is almost overwhelming when you walk by. Especially when it is warm out.

Oh no! Some douche kid in Montana gave my post an F. How can I sleep tonight?

You clicked on the thread. did you really think the observations of me or anyone else that posts here are any more valuable or insightful than the quotes and opinions of JD, AM, JR, etc? OK, here is a real tidbit. Jackman and Polak were ringers on todays blue team. They played for the third team Monday.
And I still didn't see A. Nigro (valid Blues point), I still almost got a parking ticket because they started a half hour late, and the homeless area of the building still smells like piss.

Umm...honestly? Yes. I welcome the casual fan's opinion of how the team is looking. That's part of the reason this place exists in the first place. I guess I'm a weirdo though; or a "douche" as you so kindly put it. Please proceed by insulting me and my state (?). That seems like the best thing to do.

I honestly don't see how I insulted Montana earlier, bit since you asked...
Let me put this parking thing into a perspective someone from Montana will understand. Suppose the town saloon is supposed to get a new shipment of Red eye off the pony express at 11:30. You are parched so you mount your trusty steed Old Paint and ride that dusty trail into town. You hitch Old Paint to a post that has short term hitchin' only. You go into the saloon only to find Miss Kitty won't be sellin' the Red Eye til noon, so you wait. You finally get served, but since they started so late, you only have time for 2 shots instead of 3. Then when you leave, you barely beat Festus to Old Paint, as he is leading all the illegally hitched horses to the glue factory.
There, now do you get it?

I'm still confused about the "homeless people" and the piss smell at the "opera house".

I am glad to see nothing changed during the off-season and the board is back to running as usual.

Is rampant douchebaggery going to continue being the norm, or can we actually focus on the flipping hockey team? Goddamn. We already know everyone hates everyone else, we established that last year.

This year we have a strong young team with a legitimate shot at a good playoff run. Redirect the vitriol towards management for not locking up all the kids to asshole'ish 40 year contracts that circumvent the salary cap but are otherwise accepted league-wide. It would make it a lot more fun.

That's pretty good actually, I'll give you that. Unfortunately I still don't get how this thread is related to Blues hockey. 'Tis a shame too because it probably took a while to write this dandy.

I don't think I was really being a douche. I just asked how this was related to the Blues and he decided to call me a kid and make fun of Montana.

Whatever though, I'll leave this thread and let the Blues discussion continue. I'm sure it'll pick up when I'm gone.

I wasn't calling you a douche, Viper. I was commenting on the underlying atmosphere that seems to have carried over from last season.

The whole that makes the St. Louis Blues is more than just the product on the ice. It is how the team is run, etc, also. I made three partly tongue in cheek observations. One about a prospect not invited to camp. One about the coaches apparent disregard for the fans trying to spend their lunch hour supporting his team. And one about the vile smell rolling out of a building Checketts (heard of him?) is in charge of maintaining. All of these are points that are about the St. Louis Blues organ-i-zation.

Ok, you're right. I can see how this can potentially damage the teams chances at success this upcoming season so it is, in fact, St. Louis Blues discussion. I apologize for implying that this thread was a "fail" because it obviously isn't. I'm just a hick from Montana so I don't get to see the seedy underbelly of this team firsthand as y'all do. I'm sure I'd be appalled as well if I were exposed to it. I think I'll just continue living in my Hanna-Barbera world and hope the Blues just win games.
