I'm probably the only one that doesn't mind having Sydor on the team. If it doesn't work out, they'll just release him.

Nah, you're not alone. If he makes the team better, I'm all for it. IF HE MAKES THE TEAM BETTER.

With Brewer being out, Sydor makes sense. Gives the Blues another veteran experience on the blue line.

I thought he was terrible in preseason. But that was preseason and our new management team has had pretty good judgment so far.
So Im willing to give him to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Ill just root for him now, and hope he does well. Ill save judgment for later.

I kinda get the feeling they mis read the Brewer situation when they released McKee, and Sydor is the stop gap/ insurance they feel they need till if/when he returns. Which they wouldn't need had they held on to McKee.

I'm okay with this too, presuming he won't play Brewer minutes. If he's an experienced guy in the #5/6 role, great. I'll take an aging Sydor for a mill over Brewer at 4.25 mill and McKee at 4 mill (but I'd take McKee at 1.5-2 mill easily). If he's flat out terrible or Brewer comes back, then I want him gone.

Brewer is just about the worst decision in Blues' history at this point. I can't imagine there are many fans who have any interest in seeing him wear the Bluenote again.

McKee's contract was ridiculous, I for one am glad that they bought it out and moved on. For the spot he was occupying, the amount we were paying him and the difference he made in games (that being marginal at best)- it was for the best.

Awesome? Sydor didn't have a chance and then McKenzie just started pounding him while he lay there...awesome?? How about cheap?

Sydor did pretty well against Chase in the clown uniform. Never thought of Sydor as a fighter.

Exactly, he got lit up. I didn't say it was fair, I was just saying awesome because he got absolutely pummeled, no matter how cheap and unfair it was. Mckenzie was just ruthless, dude is down on all fours and he just beats the shit out of him.
