The Blues are dangerous. And deep. And damn, I can't wait for Thursday night.
Discuss the St. Louis Blues, the NHL, or whatever.

Obviously it's very early, but last year's team was resilient even when they were terrible early on. And it looks like they have the makeup of the gritty team that doesn't give up, jus tlike last year's team. i love it.philco_3 wrote:I will admit, after seeing Detroit going up by 2 earlier I thought we were gonna get stomped hard. I have watched a lot of Red Wings games and hate their announcing. You can tell that they are Detroit's announcers.
Having said that, was anyone else happy to hear someone else call the Blues that wasn't John Kelly? I would take someone rooting for Detroit everyday of the week over Kelly!
I know that jerkfacesection319 wrote:Only the play by play was Detroit, Pang was doing the color.
And, REUNITE BERNIE AND JOHN.

Agreed. Get Panger in mid-season form, he will turn into another Federkosection319 wrote:ProngerBlues44 wrote:I know that jerkfacesection319 wrote:Only the play by play was Detroit, Pang was doing the color.

Lol, alright just making sure. I could barely tell, could have used a little more Blues bias from Pang though.

Bite your tongue......section319 wrote:And, REUNITE BERNIE AND JOHN.
++, on one condition: they're not doing play-by-play for the Blues.section319 wrote:And, REUNITE BERNIE AND JOHN.
Ken Daniels got a little more excited over the Red Wings goals, but that was go be expected. I knew he couldn't play it down the middle.ProngerBlues44 wrote:I am kind of surprised that no one has mentioned the commentating yet...

It wasn't bad though. He did a good job.
I didn't remember at first that they were doing the dual commentary thing. So I was complaining in flashchat about the detroit bias a bit. But, looking back at it it was done fairly well and I liked hearing the different viewpoints.Hullie wrote:yeah, I noticed that too.cprice12 wrote:Ken Daniels got a little more excited over the Red Wings goals, but that was go be expected. Wow.Did you notice that it was basically two home games for the Blues? They had the Blues' PA announcer and Blues graphics on the jumbotron both (Franking) days.
I think Detroit flew out all the people that attended the Stanley Cup final series, cause God knows they couldn't sell out the Joe when they lost last season...which seems to the theme to this years team...LOSING.cprice12 wrote:More ridiculousness:

Yeah, having the PA announcer and a graphic on the jumbotron cancel out the 12,000 Red Wings fans in attendance in the 14,000 seat arena.
Sounds about right.
