3 years/$12.25MM!?!

If I were Krejci (3 years/$11.25MM), I would fire my agent.

They basically expect Lucic (17/25/42) to develop into a Dustin Brown (33/27/60) type player. However, Dustin Brown just re-signed this year for $3.175MM for 5 years.

How much does this stupid signing jack up the cost of our RFAs? How much is EJ going to get this offseason?

It's a valid point. Lee Stempniak had an even better season, signed a 3 year 7.5mm deal, and regressed to the point where that seems like a pretty poor contract now.

I don't see this breaking the contracts of other league players. I mean this Milan is now being paid more than Milan Hejduk, and it's really on par with what Pittsburgh gave Jordan Staal for his potential.

Are you sure? That's only 1.5M a year....that seems cheap to me.

I fail to see how the signing of 1 player in Boston at the beginning of the season will set any precedence for the Blues and EJ down the road.

It's one signing and it's not DiPietro-level ridiculous.

If anything will cause problems, it's those 10+ year contracts w/no trade clauses.
