I disagree with this. This is the EXACT reason why the Blues snuck up on so many teams last year. The Blues were a playoff team at the end of the season, but during the season, so many teams looked at them like this. The Thrashers have some offensive fire power, and the Kings and Coyotes both have a good young core.

Yes, they are teams the Blues should probably beat, but I don't think you can call a team "officially terrible" 5 games into the season. But that's just me.

Getting excited about a team 5 games into the season is jumping the gun...just like getting down on a team 5 games into the season is jumping the gun.

I don't think you can gauge how good teams may be this season until the 1/4 mark. Talk to me after 20-25 games.

The Avalanche are not going to win their division...and the Blues are going to finish well over .500...or so one would think.
