Some will get the reference in the thread title, others won't, But that's what happens when there isn't a GDT four hours before a game.

Blues-8 (Boyes-2, Perron, Tkachuk, Backes-3, McClement-SH)
Ducks-2 (Charlie Conway-2)

I'm confused as to what Cam is going to offer to this team NOW that Eller or Palushaj can't. They need to get off the schneid, and that's not going to be accomplished by having a goon play 4 and a half minutes and do nothing other than get into a fight.

Steen > Cam. This team with Steen was playing poorly, therefore this team with Cam instead will still be playing poorly.

I agree completely, but I think they haven't called anyone else up yet because we are on the west coast for one game and we are playing Anaheim who we tend to be pretty physical with. And I totally think we need to call up Eller or Palushaj but it is most likely it will be Armstrong called up.

Based on their recent drafting history, it seems to me like they're trying to put together a team that can score their brains out on all 4 lines including the defense, a la the Red Wings of past. It's a good idea, considering the nature of the game today, and it doesn't warrant wasting a spot on a guy like Cam. I've heard that Palushaj is a physical kid in the mold of Oshie. He should get the spot. jmho though.

I think we already established Mason won't be playing.

As an FYI, atdhe is carrying 11 of the 13 games today. Once again, they're not carrying the Blues game. What the frikken hell is this all about? Granted it's a late game and I won't be awake to watch it anyway, but I'm getting real tired of them carrying everything but.

Observation:

In the 2008 draft, the Blues took Alex Pietrangelo #4 overall. The Rangers took Michael Del Zotto #20 overall. Pietrangelo is getting jerked around in favor of guys like Mike Weaver and Daryl Sydor whilst Del Zotto is playing at a point per game rate through the first 8 games of his career on a high flying Rangers team.

Maybe I'm being a bit picky, but the Rangers have exactly two big names (Gaborik and Lundqvist) and they're all--the whole damn team--playing light years better in Torts system than the Blues are playing in Murrays system.
