While Kariya only played 13 minutes, Walt only played 13 minutes. Only 1 forward played less than 10 (Janssen) and only one defenseman played more than 20 (Colaiacovo) while Strachan had the shortest ice time for D-men. Balancing shifts that much across the 4 lines and across the defensive pairings is something I haven't seen from any Blues team and they've done it for the most part in every game this season. Even the President's Trophy winning team. That kind of balance goes a long way when they start having close games in the 3rd period, since the top lines will actually be more rested than teams using the top line, 2nd okay scoring line, checking line, barely plays line approach.Sweetred95ta wrote: Kariya only played 13 minutes.
