Dave Lowry, if they could steal him from Calgary. He's done all the things you want to see in a future coach by starting coaching at a low level and working his way up - not just having it handed to him for being a former player.

<-----------------------The guy to my left. Minnesota Miracle Man. The guy turned a bunch of bumbling 10 year olds into world champions two years later. As soon as he left his post, they couldn't even beat the varsity squad until he came back and got Dean Portman his scholarship. The guy is a magician.

While you make a good point it didn't hurt that he inherited a team like the penguins, not that he isn't a good coach but that didn't hurt his situation.

Definitely some good remarks made...

I truly agree with the fact that it might be a possible mistake regarding how highly esteemed he is in the franchise...

he has a freaking statue!!!

So yeah...I do somewhat retract my original statement.

Just throwin' it out there...interesting to see the thoughts though.

The difference is that MacInnis is a man and Gretzky is a pansy

Thanks for the support of my statement but he did inherit one incredible team. Malkin, Crosby, Fleury, etc...The team wasn't the Panthers by any means. LOL

The next player to score a goal gets to be coach.

Just wait for Babcock to be fired for one bad season and then scoop him up. He's the type of puck-possession coach we need for this collection of players.

When is Andy Murray going to get the boot so the Blues can start winning some games? He was let go from the Kings organization for a reason...he sucks. He makes awful choices (putting Backes on the shootout before Eller...hello? Putting skilled players on fourth lines). I can't stand how he yells and barks at the officials profusely every time the Blues get a penalty he doesn't agree with. One time, when Murry was giving a play-by-play to the guys, before a power-play, I could have sworn I seen Kariya role his eyes. In order to turn this team around we need a good coach and not a third-rate Kings leftover. I think he'd make a decent assistant coach, just not a head. Frankly, I find him annoying.

Not that I disagree that we need a change at coach, but I would've love to seen what you were saying about Murray at the end of last season.

Feel free to look it up..... Those thread aren't gone.

Same was being said while the Blues were getting swept by Vancouver and throughout the run to get the Blues in the playoffs last season. The Blues aren't scoring the goals their talent should be scoring.

The Blues' youth in the playoffs last year was so obvious a blind man could've seen it. The only composed player out there making plays on a shift to shift basis was Andy McDonald. Almost without exception, every forward on the Blues was freaking out every time they got the puck- forcing it up the boards, panicked/hurried passes to the middle of the ice even where there was nobody there and no pressure, etc. You can't coach experience.
