BLUES PREVIEW — The Blues are 2-2 so far on their six-game home stand heading into the first of two meetings this season with the Islanders. The Blues are 1-3-2 against the Eastern Conference this year.
ISLANDERS PREVIEW — No. 1 draft pick John Tavares is living up to the hype. He scored his ninth goal of the season Tuesday, extending his point streak to five games (four goals, four assists).
WHAT TO WATCH — Chris Mason is expected to get his fifth straight start in goal for the Blues. Mason is No. 6 in the NHL with a .923 save percentage and No. 10 in the league with a 2.25 goals-against average.
INJURIES — Blues — LW Alex Steen (wrist), probable; LW D.J. King (hand), out. Islanders — G Rick DiPietro (knee), D Radek Martinek (knee) and C Doug Weight (upper body), out.
I like our odds with Doug Weight out.

With Steen back, hopefully they sit Winchester , and play Janson..I look for the Blues to win this game, especially with Weight not in the line up..
As always JMHO

If Janson is any better than Janssen, I say play him!
Blues 5 (Steen, Johnson, Backes, Boyes, Mason (EN))
Icelanders 2 (TAVARES!, Moulson)
In other news, I've been going around town all day wearing a Blues shirt and not one single person has made a snide comment to me. These Islanders fans are lame. If someone were to go out on the town in St. Louis wearing a Wings shirt on game day, I bet they wouldn't get out alive.

If we lose to them, Murray should be let go on the spot.

I'd really like to see the Blues get set up in the offensive zone during a Power Play instead of giving up a goal after not being able to bury one!!
Isles 1 - 0
