My wife doesn't think so...

I'm very happy they beat Detroit. A little bit too close for comfort, but anytime you beat Detroit is a good day. I don't think they'll ever fall quite as hard as they did in the '70's, but it's nice to see the sweating a little bit about their current place in the standings... of course, here's hoping they don't make the playoffs! :letsgoblues:

I think Happy Pony was more interesting than the Blues last night. Was switching between them the whole game!

A bounce here or there and this is a loss.

I'll take ay win against Detroit, but this was a real squeaker.

Right... but a bounce here or there the other way and Detroit would have lost COMPLETELY.

So last night they only partially lost?

I think we just need to go out and score more goals then our opponents.

Is anyone else a little worried about our lack of scoring?

Our player with the most points is a defenseman with 19 points
Our leading goal scorer has 9 goals
Our leading assists haver(?) has 14 assists
Only one player has goals or assists in the double digits and that obviously is the 14 assists

We HAVE to score more, these numbers are scary low for being 29 games into the season.

You're actually looking too deep into the stats to find concern. Blues are last in the NHL in goals scored. End of story, definite cause for concern.

No -- apparently there's a magic formula that encompasses certain players special teams ice time that determines who *really* wins and loses.........

FWIW:
RED, WHITE AND BLUE

When the Blues and Red Wings came out for warm-ups Wednesday, both teams were wearing their dark jerseys. In the NHL, the home team generally wears the dark and the visitors wear the white.

But it turns out the mistake was made by the Red Wings. Several weeks ago, they requested to wear their white jerseys for Wednesday's game and then didn't follow through.

After warm-ups, Detroit switched to its white jerseys, so in the end, the only one affected was the Red Wings equipment manager, who had a little extra laundry to do.
Detroit sucks.

That is all.

I was away from the TV for the beginning of the 2nd, but I counted a couple of posts at least, by the Things. Could have just as easily been 2-1 or worse.

Gotta start hitting the back of the net more often. Goalies won't always save the offenses ass.

I wanna know -- why didn't they just play blue-vs.-red sweaters? Does anyone really have black-and-white TVs any more? It woulda looked cool.
