as to why David Perron (arguably one of the top two skilled players on the team) had 6 SECONDS of PP time tonight with many guys getting nearly 4 minutes of PP time.

*sigh*

What did he do, smart off at practice this morning???

Clearly, he got bucked off before teh full 8 seconds were up, and thus scored no points.

Duh.

It took me a bit to get that and then I edited what I had said...

You've got to let old man Tkachuk have some PP time...

Berglund-Oshie-McDonald
Steen-Johnson

This is what the first power play unit needs to look like. Perron, Boyes, and Tkachuk have all looked pitiful on the PP this entire season.

You are talking about people looking pitiful this season and you thing Berglund isn't and I wouldn't really consider Steen the offensive dynamo to turn our power play around

The fact of the matter is David Perron has been the BEST forward on the ice for this team (with the exception of maybe Andy McDonald). He is improving game after game, especially digging pucks out of the corner and creating scoring opportunities. And yet he continues to get saddled with limited ice time on the PP. It's completely inexcusable.

He only had 11 min total last night that's ridiculous, how do you only play arguably your bet forward so far this season for 11 min. Murray needs to lengthen the leash on Perron he's been in the league three years now and has proven himself this season yet Murray doesn't care. He wins every puck battle, he isnt that big yet he is one of the grittiest players and plays har I thought that was what Murray was all about. To befair I did ntoice early on wen he was on the ice he was floating and not givin it his all, that may have to be because they took him of Macs and boys line and put him with a slumping berglund a d aging Tkachuk no wonder he hasn't been getting many points. I hate bitching after a win but I mean come on.

Murray hates kids. There really isn't much else to say.

If you are going to post the picture in every post could you at least post it without making it an attachment, just kind of annoying.

Berglund has looked awful duing 5 on 5 play. In his limited time on the PP, I think he has actually moved the puck quite well. 23 of his 47 points last season were on the power play, he makes good decisions when he has a little breathing room with the puck. David Perron can't make a successful pass on the power play (either waits too long or doesn't make a crisp enough pass, doesn't know how to play the puck along the boards, and just really isn't that valuable on the power play. I'd rather have Coliacovo then Steen on the point but I don't think Murray would take him away from Boyes.

I do agree that Perron isn't stellar on the power play oddly, I think h trys to do too much and he really trys to put pucks in difficult spots. I think he could be an asset he just needs to simplify his game, we have a man advantage you don't have to make that perfect play just get shots on net.
