Who will win...

the pissing match between Andy Murray and David Perron?

It's been obvious since the day he came to town that Murray had a hard on for the kid. Now the team is consistently inconsistent with Perron being one of the only positives on the ice. But Murray continues to limit his ice time and now there's rumors that Perron is demanding a trade (although they've been refuted by a certain internet "journalist")

My point is, something's got to give. The team isn't turning things around and with Perron's contract being up at the end of the year it wouldn't surprise me if he went out and tried to sign an offer sheet with another organization if Murray is still around at the end of the year. I realize that managment boned themselves by triggering AM's option permaturely. But as this season of mediocracy drags on, it seems more likely that someone's going to need to make a decision here because I can't see both of these guys co-existing in any long term scenario.

What do you guys think?

If Perron is traded I am moving to Detroit and becoming a Wings fan. That's how bad I hate that situation, especially when it involves picking Murray over him. If I had choose one player to be signed to a 13 year contract, it would be Perron.

Murray will be gone soon. Problem over. Perron re-signs. Youth rebuild continues.

If JD decides to finish the season with Murray, The Blues miss the playoffs, and several players are disgruntled. Recent attendance gains will be lost. The rebuild will be set back. A very bad result.

I don't know where he saw them, bt I saw a post over at asylum about it but it didn't give a link or anything. So, I'm pretty sure there isn't too much truth behind the rumor at least I really, really hope not.

It had to come from the Asylum because Strick had commented on it via Twitter. Perron tried to re-enforce it via his Facebook. But rumors start somewhere, so you never really know what was said. But I wouldn't just dismiss it.

If Murray is canned, Perron will likely want to stay.

Jesus...when did the Blues become the Maple Leafs. This is the type of rumor crap that circles around that shitty team. JD and company better get a hold of this crappity crap crap.

And Strickland is dork that likes to stir up crap in his own head.

:( ftfy

and ++ on the 13 year deals. Perron and EJ would be the first two I would lock up long term if I had the choice.

I wrote on DP's new FB page. I told him not to keep playing his game and not leave us at the end of the year. When the dust settles, I want to see DP in a Blues uniform.

I love how he says he can't wear the white ones "yet" and I hope we get a new coach that doesn't give a flying fauk what color his skates are so long as he puts the puck in the back of the net.
