One thing of note that I read somewhere (can't remember where). The Canadian arenas the Blues have played in the last few games have like the best ice in the NHL. Which is more conducive to the tape-to-tape passes some of our more skilled forwards like to use for transition than the choppy crap at the Scott.

It only makes sense that Murray got chewed out too. I mean Management isn't blind, they've gotta see the system Murray is using and if that don't want to fire him I am sure they told him he needs a change or Else. And hopefully this isn't just a flash in the pan and they can turn it around for the rest of the season.

Here's what's funny... Murray completely stopped coaching the powerplay, what, a week ago? And since that time the powerplay has been scoring like crazy.

In the last three games the powerplay has scored 7 times in 13 chances.

That's a 53% powerplay people. No Murray = 53% powerplay.

Mind you, the powerplay was HORRID when Murray initially took it over from the guy he has handed it back to.

It's just a matter of a fresh perspective, changing something. Murray doesn't have to go, he just has to adjust.

Well, more than a week ago but right. Like what was said before whoever doing the power play now was doing it before Murray took it over. So we will see how long we play it this well before Murray has to take it over again.

I would be blown away if there was actually a noticeable difference according to the players.

Powerplays are all about movement and passing. Blues are finally doing that

So LP tells the team to start playing up to their potential because the coach is here to stay and nobody wants any of them in a trade so they start playing better to raise their market value. Yay!

Movement, passing and getting the defense to spread out their box to free up passing lanes down low. If you can do that, your power play will be excellent.

Are we talking about hockey here?
