Question about Winter Classic

If you look at the ice, it appears that there's more area behind the goal, and the circles are closer to the extended goal line. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Camera angle.

Everything was exactly like an indoor arena.

They claimed otherwise, but the corners looked a lot more shallow to me....

It seems like they're alternating west/east/west/east... so that said, next year should be in St. Louis and the following year in NYC. I'd be first on line to get tickets to a winter classic at Yankee Stadium.

There was a report early this season the the Blues were tryign to secure the Winter Classic, but I've never heard any more. I think STL would be a bit of a gamble weather wise though.

I suspect it will be a west team vs the Rangers either at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field.

My bet for next year is Capitals and Rangers at either Yankee Stadiumor whatever the Nationals' park is.....
