Question about Winter Classic

If you look at the ice, it appears that there's more area behind the goal, and the circles are closer to the extended goal line. Does anyone know the reason for this?
Discuss the St. Louis Blues, the NHL, or whatever.

It seems like they're alternating west/east/west/east... so that said, next year should be in St. Louis and the following year in NYC. I'd be first on line to get tickets to a winter classic at Yankee Stadium.STLADOGG wrote:I wonder if Saint Louis will ever host one of these things it gets freaking cold this time of year.

I suspect it will be a west team vs the Rangers either at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field.glen a richter wrote:It seems like they're alternating west/east/west/east... so that said, next year should be in St. Louis and the following year in NYC.
