Blacked out in the area anyway.
We should be able to see it here in Oregon since we're not in any NHL market. We could get it but it would be an extra $35.00 a month to get the package that includes it. Seems like robbery after paying the $150.00+ for Center Ice already.

When I asked why it was free in other parts of the country they explained that Portland wasn't a hockey market hence the extra charge if we want it.

I understand thAt Boyes isn't that consistent or the best two way player, but the man is leading the team in points. Even if he isnt that great he finds ways to rack up points, I can't compain, when someone else decides to lead the team in points then I'll complain about Boyes.

Uh he's racking up the points at the expense of playing defense. When we start winning games and stop letting up breakaways because Brad didn't feel like skating, I'll stop complaining about Boyes.

Outcome is frustrating, but I like the style of play I saw tonight. I saw a team that didn't change their gameplan with a 3rd period lead. We were playing a tough opponent in their house, so I'll take a point. I'm more concerned with our play at home than getting only one point in a game in San Jose.

after watching San Jose I think it's clear that the Blues need to forecheck more.
San Jose got it out of their zone way to fricking easy.

You can really tell the difference in Dmen after watching a top team vs. a bottom/mid tier team.

It's a step in the right direction. the Blues game was way more exciting than we are used to.

Berglund looked fuc.king good!

This!

And I loved the way we played with energy....however....

Score aside, when the Sharks really played, you could see how far we have to go talent wise.

That's OK, and it's no knock on the Blues, just an observation.

All of the "go get kovulchuk" talk makes total sense

Hell yah! We fired up that bandwagon last year.

We've got the ammo, and while I love all the young talent this organization has, I don’t see anyone with that kind of potential. (even though I still beleive Bergie can develop into a 35 goal a year guy)

Until we have a true difference maker like that, we’ll be battling to make the playoffs, not win the Cup.

Maybe we can’t get him or they won’t move him, but we have to find a way to acquire a top notch ‘scorer’. With all the long term deals now, we really missed a chance to add one via free agency last year and we may never see an opportunity like that again (to obtain top end talent without giving anything up).

The boys played a good game last night. Burgy looked comfortable & Polak was playing with an edge. It did seem that they lost some steam later in the third & I felt that a time out might have helped the kids. With Payne's style of physical play he might want to consider that until they get used to the grind.

I loved the creativity last night. No it didn't result in goals, but guys were making plays, finding open ice to work or shoot the puck. It wasn't the same old tired 'dump-chase-cycle-lose puck-repeat' offense that had been here for so long.

There were a lot of good things out on the ice last night. To walk away from the top team with a point is a good thing. I really am excited about tonight's game against an opponent that is more on par with our talent level. If they don't get rattled like they did at the end of the first period and play like that I stick with what I said about a 4-5 point road trip.
