Here is the story by McKenzie, pretty interesting and a giant bed of s*** for the NHL if it develops and Burrows isn't lying.

Hope to see video on the calls soon. Fire the ref if Burrows is right, suspend Burrows if there is no evidence.

Video of Burrows' interview. Guy has some kind of swaying problem.

Discuss.

Edit, found the interference call:

WOW! Just WOW!

If they don't step in on this, you're right, it's going to get VERY ugly.

I don't know if the call was made out of vengeance, but it was bad enough to suspend the ref for stupidity either way.

The ref has no business making a call like that. Kudos for Burrows calling him out like that. Makes me wonder if this will lead to anybody else saying anything about this particular ref or others down the road.

I can't stand Burrows for the little bitch he usually is, but this is a load of crap.

Kind of easy to do when you are riding a stationary bike.

This year has featured some of the worst refereeing I have ever seen.

The Jackman knee-knee non-call and the Mason glove slash for a goal were the worst!

Auger has had issues with several Blues players in the past as well, IIRC.

Burrows shouldn't be such a pussy and embellish when he's hit.

All that said,

Weak.

That is all.

Lmao, yeah I noticed that after I posted. Oh well, didn't expect a guy to be giving an interview while on the bike.

Well like I always thought the refs never liked the Blues so that is why we get the BS calls against us all the time. Especially by Veteran refs.

I will forever despise the "Intent To Blow Whistle" call that has plagued the league lately. It happened to us in Game 4 against Vancouver. We benefited from a call like that earlier this year against Detroit, I believe. Honestly, Detroit has been 'effed on that call more than most.

Amen. That was ballsy on Burrows part flat out coming out and speaking his mind. I give him props for that. Just hope it doesn't cause enough of a ruckus that he has to issue one of those lame, canned apologies in a few days. But seriously, the call was a bunch of dookie. No two ways about it.

The call was horrible... Revenge or not, NHL should scrutinize refs better. Watching Blues play BJs tonight... Oshie is called for a no-hook but then there's a hook on Perron that is uncalled. Come on.

The problem is that in the last 10 years, between expansion and the move to a 2-ref system, there are a LOT of NHL refs that have only spent 2 years or so in the AHL, and don't have NEAR enough experience. Also figure in that a lot of refs have retired recently (Stewart, Koharski, Gregson) or are about to do so (Fraser), and it ain't gonna get any better.........

Makes sense. They have 4 of them on the rink though... I understand that there's a lot going on but you'd think that if they split up zones of coverage, it'd be pretty easy to get most of the calls right. It's not that there are occasional bad calls... The bad calls prevail.
