If you don't think Janssen deliberately launched himself right into Price because of the convenient excuse of a 50/50 puck, then you are naive. Did Janssen care that there was an empty net if he could get the puck? Hell, no! He just wanted to run the goalie. I don't have a problem with him running into the goalie there, but don't be foolish, he wasn't trying to jump around the goalie there and avoid contact like he should have been.

If the goalie wants to play a puck that far away from his protective force field, he deserves to get run. Forget him.

If Cam actually wanted to jump out of the way, where exactly was he supposed to go? It looked to me that Cam was twisting his body to try and get by Price.

He was twisting his body to lay his shoulder into Price. If Janssen was interested in the puck at all, he would have been standing upright along the boards to block the pass, and then he would have tried to side-step Price toward the inside of the rink. Instead he lowered his shoulder and launched himself forward. It's so obvious that Janssen was looking for contact. I bet he was smiling all the way to the penalty box.

I'm nt saying he was trying to avoid Price, but I think he definetly pulled the reigns back a little bit. It looked like he could have drilled Price a lot more than he did and he should have.

And If goalies are going to come that far out of their crease then why shouldn't they be fair game, it's not like he was behind the net, Janssen shouldve laid into him even better.

Janssen laid into Price just about as much as he thought he could get away with. If Janssen wasn't looking to hit Price, why did he not even make a play at the puck? He would have had an empty net. If I were looking to get the puck, I would have pinched myself along the boards to try and block his pass.

It wasnt that big of a hit.
If it was me, I would have tried to hurt the dude. Cam was just going for the puck.

The Janssen play is a big ol no-brainer. To me he looked like he tried to dive to the side of Price. He could have just ran the guy and if he wanted to do that, why take to the air? Holy Jumpin' Anyway, its a Janssen sighting and maybe will be less of those if King heals up.

Can I have defensemen who are out of position for 100 please Alex...What is Eric Brewer?!!!

You are cooorrect!!!

For AMac...Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

It's a loose puck along the near boards and their goalie is trying to beat you to the puck... and he leaves an empty net behind him...uhhh...Janssen would be stupid to think about checking Price and not worrying about the puck.

I just watched it again, and yup...Janssen was playing the puck...that's all he was trying to do. He came in full steam and was reaching out with his stick trying to poke the puck by Price before Price could get to it...and then the collided.

I think Janssen's only thought was getting to the puck first, and once he was there, there was nowhere else to go so he tried jumping between Price and the boards and he ended up knocking Price over and going airborne.

Watch the video again. Price knew exactly what he was doing. He knew the net was empty behind him and Janssen was going to get to the puck about the same time as him, so Price stepped into Janssen so he couldn't go anywhere and so he couldn't come away with the puck, AND Janssen would get an goaltender interference penalty for touching him. Smart play by Price? Sure. But no way is Janssen the bad guy here. He was going for the puck all the way.

What video are you watching? The guy jumped like 5 feet in the air, almost hugging the boards akin to Spider-man. Had he wanted to run Price he could've killed him. Didn't lower his shoulder or anything. Look where the numbers on his jersey are when he hits the glass. Completely flat against the glass. Tell me how that happens when you're trying to run a goalie.

Janssen is typically a doucher but I, for once, think he actually was trying to not destroy Price's life there. And he could have.

Why don't you ask some of your other ratard friends?

This is really starting to get annoying.
