I blame Conklin and Jackman. Conklin let in some easy ones and well Jackman just wasnt quick enough out there.

Well we couldn't pounce on any of the 5,000 rebounds he gave up and I think we missed 26 open nets.

I thought we played really great in the second half of the first and the first half of the second.

Berglund and Oshie were monsters last night……….even if Kerbs kept hating on Patrik.

Cprice, ask Kerbs why he’s got such a hard on against Bergie…..you can tell its personnel and not professional. I don’t know if they had a spat or what, but move on.

Dude actually goes out of his way to be critical of the kid…and he doesn’t have to because Patrik gives him enough reasons. Even last night after his goal…”well that’s only his second in 18 games”….even if it is true, what’s the need for that comment right then after we just scored on the power play and cut their lead in half? Discuss that in the post/pregame…..not in the moment. Very…..Very…unprofessional and I’m certain I’m not the only one noticing. I didn’t listen to his post game show last night, but I hope he gave him credit because that was probably his best game since halfway through last season.

OH….and who’s that new guy wearing 9 for the Blues?

Yeah...I'll get right on that.

I think the Blues played a pretty good game last night.
The fact San Jose's goalie was the backup goalie makes no difference. He made some excellent saves and was very good, even though he looked a bit shaky early. He won the game for them.
I only had issues with two plays.
Settoguchi's power play goal where Jackman overskated his man in the corner and he walked right in front. Bad play by Jackman.
I also thought San Jose's 4th goal was a bad one to give up by Conklin. A shot he saw the whole way from the top of the circle. He has to make that save in a one goal game late in the 3rd. Bad goal.
Other than those two plays, the Blues played a good game. San Jose just got a couple of breaks and we didn't...especially around the net.

It seems like we create really good offensive chances with pretty good frequency... it also seems that we have no idea how to bury those chances 3/4ths of the time. San Jose got a breakaway - and scored. We got a breakaway, and didn't even get a real shot on net.

For a big while the guys were missing the net badly, now they are hitting the goaltender. It would be nice to see a few of the guys figure out how to split the difference and score.

All in all, not a terrible performance; better than the 6-0 blasting I was expecting.
