This game sucked nuts. The Blues played great except for that shit at the end, and that shit at the end made the rest of the game suck IMO. The Wings had no business getting that point.

Blues won, whoopty freakin doo you dipshits. I hope you're not proud of yourselves in the dressing room.

Totally forgot this game was on Versus.
I sit down to watch the game...and it's not on FSMW. And with Versus not being shown on DirecTV right now, that wasn't an option.
Also, my bandwidth is capped at 5gig...so I don't stream games on ATDHE.net anymore.
So I watched a couple episodes of Dexter and followed the updates on my phone instead.

I was happy the Blues were up 3-1 late in the 3rd (and bitter I wasn't watching it)...and I refresh my phone a few minutes later to find it was 3-3 at the end of the 3rd.
I damn near launched my phone into the fireplace I was so pissed.

Blowing 2-goal leads late in the game against division rivals you are trying to catch in the standings, but winning in OT... feels like a loss. It sucks.

Yay we won...but giving the asshats in Detroit a point is awful.

With the Blues up 3-1 in the 3rd I turned to my friend and said, I'm waiting for the collapse...and it happened.

Straight from my text messages to a friend who bout season tix for the first time in his life this season and hates his life:
Hah let's be real. We have the lead going into the 3rd at home.. We know how this ends.
Pre-(Franking)-dictable.

Love the heart on Perron. Takes a couple of unlucky penalties, comes out of the box, razzle dazzle goal. That kid is this team's future.

That was a decent game last night, but figured they would lose in OT. It feels weird watching each game and the Red Wings give up more shots and they are not the superior team anymore.

We've been saying they'd come back to the pack every year for the last 5 or 6 years...and we were wrong every year.

But not this year.
Something about blind squirrels finding nuts...I dunno.

Thank God it FINALLY happened. :letsgoblues:

Two really shit goals from Detroit last night. Datsyuk goal was a kicking motion, I am guessing not of the kind described in a rule book (I wonder if there are details on what constitutes a kicking motion in a book). It was obvious that he saw where the puck was going and raised his skate to try and re-direct it. I mean, hats off to Datsyuk but he purposefully used his skate to score a goal. I'll need to watch the third goal but it seemed to me for a second that Tuzzi was shoving Mason's pads with his hands... Maybe not.

They had a crawfish eating contest up in the Kiel Club last night.

Some dude crammed 24 'fish tails down in a minute.

You can use your skate to score a goal, but you can't use a distinct kicking motion when doing so.
You can direct your skate, angle it, move your skate so the puck hits it...but you can't kick the puck.

Kind of silly really.

Yeah, I feel it should be more like handball in soccer. If you can see the intent, call it.

So, I typed "intent" and it immediately made me think about the "intent to whistle" deal. Got a good laugh out of me.

Give Kariya the game puck...it most likely will be the last time he will score a goal at home.

And right after I dog on him for lack of production in the other thread... Maybe I should be critical of all the players more often.

Nah, he's going to score a ton more goals at home... at his house... where ever he moves... on his PS3 or whatever game platform he prefers.

Johnson was f-ing superior in the OT last night. He can control the puck in traffic like a forward, then gets back on D and manhandles his man to skate away with the puck under his control again. He reminds me a great deal of Pronger at this point in his career.

That's twice he's hit the crossbar on game changing shots late in games... I remember one of those against Chicago not too far back.

He's still getting better, and as he does we are going to see a very special player.

If that was the case I would get paid what Kariya does then
