Blues goaltender Chris Mason will join Team Canada at the Olympics if an injury occurs to one of their goaltenders at the Olympic games.

Kevin Allen of USA Today reported Saturday that Mason has been contacted by Team Canada and was told he would be on Canada's stand-by list.

Canada's goaltenders are Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo and Marc-Andre Fleury.

In 44 games this season, Mason has posted a 2.53 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

Check back after tonight's game vs. Washington for comments on the announcement from Mason.
