How so? Seems fine to me.

Yeah, it's totally jacked up for me as well.

Everything is compressed, posts only go 5 or 6 words across the dialog box before going to the next line.

It's been that way for quite a while.

How about big board-breaking updates being done on long breaks without games or during the offseason?

And the flashchat censor is WAY overboard now

It wasn't supposed to be a big update. I was just tweaking some things.
It was partly my fault...I got cocky and was working without a recent backup...and one of the cms extensions I used didn't remove a couple things from the database during uninstall and that is what screwed things up. So I had a support ticket in with the developer to get that resolved. It took a few back and forth discussions to get things fixed.

I didn't touch Flashchat. Maybe you're mouth is just nastier than usual.

That unpossible, my mouth can't get nastier. It seemed flashchat had reverted to the the older version. And I understand the cocky part, I blew up my bios the other night :D

Eta: just checked flashchat, and it is definitely the older version. We had a number of visits from Dooger, Stanley, and Norris last night.

Enough tinkering for today. I put up a temporary graphic next to the forum navigation up top...or maybe not so temporary...we'll see.

Kodos will be happy to hear I think we're going to leave the forum at 100% width. Tired of messing with CMS bridges.

Don't know how, not blaming anyone, but its glitchy and boots people randomly!

I'll look into the Flashchat settings. But it may need to be reinstalled or updated...which is a pain actually.
Before I do anything though, the site will be fully backed up this time.

Right now, the image resolution is set to 850px wide by 1000 pixels tall. That's pretty big for an embedded image in a forum thread...and probably bigger than it should be.
You have to keep in mind that there are still a substantial number of people using 1024x768 screens, and in web design, you want to design for the smallest resolution that still gets significant traffic. We had over 400 visits last month alone from folks with that resolution. And based on that resolution and the layout of the forum with the right column for profile info taking up some space, the max width for images in the posting area should only be about 675px. So I actually should reduce the max size.
In short, not everyone has large monitors like you and I. I'm actually running dual 1920x1080 monitors both at home and at work...so I hear ya, it is a pain to size images down sometimes. Just blame the folks who are still on 1024x768.

Yeah the countdown banner idea was bad, very bad. What a way to jinx the whole damn thing.
