Predict something, or several somethings, obscure that will happen this season.

1. Someone will tie Berenson's record six-goal game.

2. Someone will defend/long for the days of Curtis Sanford.

3. A. Nigro will be called up to the Blues.

4. We'll be leading the NHL in man-games lost to injury before the quarter pole of the season.

5. Attendance will dip, tickets will be slashed, STH will bitch and moan.

2) I will yell at the tv in the third period of every Blues game.

3) Brent Johnson will continue to find work and everyone will wonder how.

4) Charles Glenn will be the most entertaining part of every Blues home game.

Opened my copy of USA Hockey magazine and at the back there was a picture drawn by some little kid of Brent Johnson. He made the pictures. Wow.

Also, the kid from STL drew a picture OF... Sidney Crosby hoisting the Cup.

11) For the first time since 1995 (NHL Draft) St. Louis is awarded either an All-Star Game, entry draft, winter classic, awards ceremony, etc.

13) Davis Payne is nominated for the Jack Adams, but loses to the President Trophy winner's coach.

14) There will be another long-term contract that circumvents the NHL CBA, with last few years at <$1M, and the NHL doesn't reject it.

15) McClement and Sobotka play the identical twin swap prank on Coach Payne.

16) Brewer finishes the season with a +/- greater than 0.

17) Kovlachuk remains unsigned throughout August, and then goes to the KHL in late September.

18) The Blues best line becomes Perron - Steen - Backes.

19) Ty Conklin wins his first home game in St. Louis.

20) Mandi Schwartz fights cancer back into remission, finds a perfect stem cell donor, and becomes cancer free.

All of the people on this board will act like they've been on board with JD, Pleau, Army, and "Dollar" Dave from step one, call them geniuses and say they were so smart for passing on "top" free agents like Lee Stempniak and Alexander Frolov for great deals like 5 mil a season to let the current team grow.

Not a very crazy prediction there, dude.

- The Blues will not have a single 30 goal scorer...because apparently those types of players aren't the right kinds of players for this team at this time.

- Despite not having a 30-goal scorer, we get improved overall contribution from the top three lines.

- We will trade for a "top six" forward at the trade deadline...and people will rightfully bitch about passing on signing Frolov or Stempniak in this last offseason, when it wouldn't have cost us players/prospects/picks.

- Yes, the Blues will indeed make the playoffs.

- Eric Brewer will be traded before the end of the season.

- Patrick Kane will suffer a season ending injury midway through the season and Chicago will fail to make the playoffs.

- Detroit's Jimmy Howard won't be able to duplicate his numbers from last season and will have a bit of a sophomore slump.

- The winner of the central division will have the worst record of any division winner in the NHL.
