Awesome series.
Before game #6 ...Fuhr said something to the effect of, "Get me to game 7 and I'll shut 'em out."

We lived in an apartment at the time and I was screaming when Turgeon scored at around 1am...probably woke up half the building.
My wife said, "Sshhhhh..." And I'm like, "Are you kidding me??" We just won a game 7 in double OT after trailing 3-1 in the series!!

After I was done waking up the building, I called my brother, who was as Eastern Illinois U. at the time, and he answered the phone, "LET'S GO BLUES!!!!!"

Awesome.

Great Series. By both teams. Very physical. I got the English version. I found Game 5 of 2001 Colorado Series. I'm not sure I can even bring myself to transfer it to DVD. They played their butts off. 3 OT games that could have gone the other way. Give Roy credit, he did what he had to do.

Oh yeah that was fun. Just thinking about that series gives me goose bumps. Why can't Blues hockey be like that anymore, I miss those days.

Damn, I miss Turgeon.

His playoff stats with the Blues:

50 GP
14 G
31 A
45 POINTS

2 OT GW GOALS

Yeah, I'm real glad we got rid of him.

Dude could have been productive here for at least 3-4 more years around the 70-80 point range. Dallas used him differently.

That's true. I'm a TRUE BLUE ! If they put the note on, I'm a supporter and a fan, win or lose. I live 11 hours from St. Louis. I have never been to a Blues game. Hope to one. Been a true fan for over 20 years. I hate to see them lose and understand people, especially the ones that shell out mega $ for tix and the like, to be even more upset than myself. I still love the team and the guys, no matter what. They make mistakes and have bad nights just like the rest of us. There is no difference. It's a game, it's not life. I've watched loved ones with cancer struggle and fight for every last breath. I think I can handle a hockey game. I wish more would put it in perspective. I am thankful though, that I have a nice archive of "good" games to watch...lol.

And both of those goals came against my 2 favorite goalies to ever play the game. Ed Belfour and Nikolai Khabibulin.

You would do us all a huge service by putting them on Youtube...one period at at time.

Put it on your list of things to do.

I wish I had the time to do that, but I don't.

Next game up-Dec. 9, 2003 Blues leading 2-1 @ Toronto in 3rd, let Joe Nieuwendyk scores a short-handed goal with 16 seconds to go to force OT. Chris Pronger ends it quickly,as Blues go back on a 4-3 PP.

Will you have time to upload some games to youtube come May-Oct? Cause I'd really like to see some of these too, but I unfortunately don't have any games to trade either.

Demitra won that game in OT on a breakaway if I recall correctly. That was about the time that we knew that 1999 team was for real.

You are correct. McInnis, was still recovering from a broken foot and didn't play.

Yeah, I mean...I have the Monday Night Miracle on DVD.
I also have game #4 against the Hawks from '91 when we swept them out of the playoffs...it's on VHS though.
Got the Wednesday Night Wonder too, thanks to stlbluz.

Guess he doesn't want those games.
You have the Craig Janney OT goal game?

Dude, I have been looking to get a copy for decades now. It is from 1993. What do I need to get a copy from you?

That game will always be known as the "Goaltender Interference" game in my mind.

(Not that it would have mattered, you guys were already up 3-0 in the series)

I like how Belfour went berserk. Speaking of which, Jimmy Howard broke his stick over the goal post after a recent loss in Anaheim, I enjoyed that one too
