Also, this sounds like a great deal for scalpers selling to away team fans.
Re: Full Season Tickets 50% Off!!
Not a bad deal at all....sucks for the people who bought season tickets already though

Already talked to them this morning, you still have to pay the second half, just on the final day of the season (even if they don't make the playoffs)

So what kind of stupid deal is that? Just because we're Blues fans doesn't mean we're idiots.
I'd go so far as calling that false advertising, because nowhere on the page talking about this do they mention this. Even in the disclaimer.
But notice nowhere do they actually say that you won't pay if they don't make the playoffs. It's very shady.

It very clearly says that you pay the other 50% when they clinch. So, come around 2018, they'll come calling for the remainder... maybe.

Yeah, I don't see any way they can collect at the end of the season. There's no small print that I've seen.

What the......* Prices listed are per seat. Initial 50% of Full Season Ticket Price must be paid at time of purchase. Remaining 50% balance will be due when the Blues clinch a playoff spot.

Wording looks to have been changed on the page:
Still seems to me the way it's worded says, half price now, no playoffs, no pay.Get a Full Season Ticket Plan For Half Price Up Front
Looking for a unique ticket package that guarantees you a seat to every Blues home game?
Purchase a Scottrade® Every Game Counts Season Ticket package and you'll get a full season ticket plan while only paying half the price up front.
You'll pay the second half when the Blues clinch a Playoff spot during the 2010-11 season.
Only 100 seats are eligible for this special promotion in each of the following sections: Plaza End, Blue Chip, Mezzanine End Low and Mezzanine End.

I know this team isn't making the playoffs, and I can afford $450, so I tried to order.....no dice.
You have to give them a credit card number and they will charge it when we clinch a playoff spot or.....if we don't make the playoffs, you will be charged the second half on a date to be determined near the end of the regular season.....their words, not mine.

Typical two-bit move by by what is quickly becoming a two-bit organization.

Clarification on this...
The 50% off deal is only for select areas.

The Blues are banking on making the NHL playoffs this season.
Literally, they're banking on it.
Using a new and unique ticket promotion, the Blues are allowing fans who purchase season tickets for select seats to pay half of the bill now and the other half when the Blues make the 2010-11 playoffs.
What if the Blues don't make the playoffs? You don't pay the other half.
"We feel good about the team and we want to sell more season tickets and get more people in the building," said Peter McLoughlin, CEO of St. Louis Blues Enterprises. "We think it's a smart, creative program, and we expect people who buy into this program are going to be paying 100 percent of the cost."
Here's the example: If you buy a ticket in the Plaza End section, you pay $945 now and whether you pay the remaining $945 depends on whether the Blues make the playoffs. If they do, the balance is due at that time.
The club began the promotion, dubbed "Every game counts," with about 600 selected season tickets available — 300 in the lower bowl and 300 in the upper bowl. In the two weeks since the promotion began, the team has sold about 200 season tickets, according to McLoughlin.
The Blues say they have experienced no backlash from fans who had already paid full price for season tickets before the start of the promotion.
"We've had no complaints," McLoughlin said. "I think the focus is that this (promotion) is limited to the 600 seats where we have lots of availability. As a result, we've had no complaints."

How about pay-per-win. Pay in advance, if they lose, you get your money back.
