Jackman flicked.

Post by DaDitka »

Remember, he had already been punched in the face twice in this game and did nothing before this...

But as Pang says "everybody in the league know Jackman is a tough guy an isn't afraid to go"

That was pretty funny. I thought it was a smart move that Jackman didn't take an unneeded penalty, we were up and headed toward another PP.

Does anyone else think Parros looks like Gallagher? I just think it would be funny if next game we brought a "Sledge-O-Matic". I'm just saying.

Reminds me of when Jackman took one from Owen Nolan...totally goaded him, when he was a rookie. It also seemed that Jax got Corey Perry off his game too.

George Parros was recently named by some publication (Can't remember if Sporting News or SI or what) as the 4th smartest player in all of sports.

Yup.

http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/feed/20 ... -in-sports
4. George Parros, F, Anaheim Ducks

• Age: 30

• On-ice accomplishments: One of hockey’s top enforcers: 694 career penalty minutes in 289 games.

• Alma mater, major, GPA: Princeton, economics, 3.18

• SAT score: 1250

• Languages: “English and Spanish. I don’t really speak Greek—I just think I can.”

• If I weren’t a professional athlete, I’d ... “Most likely (be) a business consultant. Either that or some sort of trader on an equity desk. ... In junior (hockey) I took a job as a runner at the Chicago Board of Trade to see if I liked it.”

• Nerdiest thing about me: “I do crosswords on the road and take some heat for that. I hate the New York Times one. USA Today is good for me. The New York Times one, it annoys me because they’ve got 16th century poets and stuff.”

• Smartest teammate I’ve had: “(Ducks goalie) Jonas Hiller. He can speak five languages or something.”

— Craig Custance

You almost have to pause and remind yourself nobody graduates anymore, period, and then realize on top of that, that it's Princeton. As far as professional athletes go, that's a hell of a resume

Jackman was on 590 this morning and they asked him what Parros was saying to him.

Jackman said he wasn't sure as he couldn't understand a damn thing he was saying through his mustache.

Cam cam + Reaves + a brand new golf bag to Anaheim for Perros. Got to agree with kodos here. It's hard to hate the dude after seeing that. He lost the battle since Jackman was basically laughing at him but that was some funny shit.

Yeah I remember reading the Wikipedia page about him cuz I was looking for info about this hilarious mustache-themed charity. When I saw that he was got a degree in Econ, I about lost it. This bit was what really did me in:
... and wrote his senior thesis on the West Coast longshoremen's labor dispute.
Just so (Franking) random, everything about it.

BTW...did you think Jackman should have "manned up" and fight? It sounds like you question what Pang said. Truth is...Jackman got the best of Parros and Parros knew it. Oh, the blues got PP out of it. :letsgoblues:
