Folks, it's time to face facts: this team isn't a bit better than last year yet. Can't finish, can't get big saves in late games, has no go-to scorer, and Barrett Jackman is still freaking terrible. But I'm sure they'll all blame it on Payne in a couple of months.

Holy god that was terrible. Blues dominated the entire game save for about 5 total minutes and the Hawks scored every chance they got during those 5 minutes.

2 games in a row? This is ridiculous.

1) Barret Jackman was weak. This was his worst game thus far.

2) I know we all love Oshie. But the guy needs to pick up his defensive assignments. He is so lazy with covering his man and even getting back when he needs to.

3) Halak was brilliant. It truly sucks he is getting the loss in this game.

4) Perron was a beast; even in OT. This guy impressed me right after his first goal. He really turned on the jets.

5) The last two mentioned points are all I have for positive. They can play well all they want for 54 minutes. Its the end result that is the true positive.

I will say that all young teams have to learn how to win consistently and the Blues are on the cusp. It's painful to sit through it now, but the Blues are playing with the right intensity. If they can get their heads out of their arses late in games, they'll move up the standings. But good god, these are terrible to watch.

Yikes. That was tough to watch. Jackman's immediate instinct after handing the puck to a man half a foot from him and 2 feet from the net is to (Franking) squat down on one knee. YOU GO GET EM BARRETT!

Andy Mac also appeared allergic to the puck. Not that he didn't want it or try....he just simply couldn't handle it.

Brad Boyes officially has a jinx or spell on him that prevents him from hitting open nets, it's no longer a 'slump' there are superhuman powers at stake here. Even Adam Creighton is asking "How did he miss that open net". I really feel for the guy, you can see the frustration mounting again and the isn't going to help anyone.

For the guys that are ripping Jackman to shreds for the overtime goal, do me a favor if you still have the game on your DVR.

Watch the sequence of events immediately leading up to the goal. Watch what the other Blues do or do not do. Watch who did or did not pick up their assignments.

Then come back and tell us if you still feel Jackman was the main factor in that goal being scored.

Not trying to be a pro-Jackman fanboy, but I think this is a teachable moment.

As one who has been extremely hard on Jackman, I agree that the game winner was not his low point of the evening.

He was much worse throughout the night.

As far as a teachable moment, I think they all need to watch that game hard again, all three goals came from the 'backside'. The D-men need to hold their positions/responsibilities, and the forwards need to do a better job of coming back and helping out....oh, and Oshie, that doesn't mean playing goal WITH Halak.

If the playoffs started today, 4 out of 5 teams in the division would be in it.

1. Jackman needs to get sidelined with a concussion

2. Pie played well and had some great outlet passes

3. Perron is playing with a chip on his shoulder like he did at the end of the season two years ago

4. If Boyes could just get a confidence builder goal I think it would make all the difference

That being said at least we got a point. We will need everyone we can scrape together at the rate we are going.
