To be honest, they deserve to be ranked #1...and knocking off the Red Wings (last week's #1) in the process.
Always a good thing. :letsgoblues:

Couple big games this week... vs. San Jose and then in Boston.

TSN has the Blues at #3, behind Boston and Detroit.
Not sure why they dropped from #2 to #3 after going 2-0-0 last week with wins vs. Atlanta (14th) and in Nashville(15th) and why they aren't ranked in front of Detroit is anyone's guess. Detroit went 1-1-0 last week, winning in Detroit vs. Nashville and LOSING AT HOME to Phoenix...whom TSN currently has ranked 24th.
Makes no sense.

They have an interesting comment on Detroit:
Imagine how good the Wings could be if their third line (Cleary-Modano-Hudler) wasn't a collective minus-16.
So, asking us to imagine if their 3rd line didn't suck... that's a reason to rank them 2nd?

I guess we could rank the Blues first in the TSN poll and say, "Imagine how good the Blues would be if they were 9-0-0."

Nice to see the Hawks at #11.
They've played 14 games already...five more than the Blues. WTF??

Maybe the fact that the Blues PK sucks ass and nearly lost us that game against Atlanta had to do something with the TSN ranking drop.

Nope, they simply didn't stop fellating Detroit long enough to see someone had passed them.

To be fair, Atlanta has the 6th best PP in the league...and we won the game.
And I think everyone can agree that the officiating was terrible which gave Atlanta 7 tries on the PP, and they had two PP goals.
Half of the calls against the Blues that game were BS. They really should have only had 4 PP tries.

With that said, yeah, the Blues PK could be better. You want your PK to be 88% or better and we're currently at 80.6%.

However, 7 PP goals against in 9 games isn't bad at all. Our PK% isn't great simply because we don't take a lot of penalties.

What's the difference if you go 9 for 10 on the PK in a game, or go 2 for 3 on the PK? Your percentage in the 9 for 10 PK effort is much better, but you still gave up the same amount of goals in both cases.

How's that for a debate stance?
