If he is "done for the year" then this is most likely more than a fracture in the bone. This sounds like major ligament damage around the bone, actually.

That's the kind of thing that permanently alters the trajectory of careers.

Not. Good.

I mean, we knew this was coming.

Any success the Blues have is really only a way for the hockey gods to make our inevitable let down a bigger blow.

Of course he'd be out the whole season, might as well add "potentially career ending" to it for a little icing on the cake. I'm honestly surprised nobody has gotten a paper cut thats turned gangrenous and had to have a limb removed yet.

Wow. I could go do that for $73,000 a game.

It's time to wonder why, after a supposedly great building project, we have some of these nobodies on the parent club. There are at least three and maybe four guys out there tonight that are simply not NHL-quality. So what of all of those great picks?

Junland would probably be here now if he wasn't in Sweden, although he might not be NHL-quality yet either.

Bernie Miklasz is a complete tool. He actually mentioned Paul Kariya as an "idea" for the Blues after bringing up the Oshie injury.

Miklasz is usually great for baseball and football, but for hockey he's a clown.

You know what? Pro-rated 1 year contract, maybe get a little bit of offense? I say why the hell not?

absolutely...I don't understand why everyone on this forum just despises Kariya...

The Blues paid 18 million for 123 points over 3 years. Less than half (58) of those came in the last two years.

$146,341.46 per point is not a good deal. He is small, and he's lost a step or three.

He is no longer reliable or useful in the NHL.

Kariya says he is sitting out a year for concussion symptoms, and then Oshie's ankle injury fixed that.
