Im sure many people have heard the rumor, but just incase I have a friend who works at The Score here in Toronto and he tells me we were apparently trying to do a Boyes for Kovalev trade. So at least the Blues seem to be shopping him.

(edit) after some searching there seems to be a blog about it saying the Blues would be crazy to do it. Again sorry if its been posted. http://blogs.thescore.com/nhl/2010/12/1 ... x-kovalev/

I'm not sure...Boyes is a headache on the ice but not off of it. Kovalev is both. But it's your classic 'needs a change of scenery' for 'needs a change of scenery' trade.

Maybe trading for Kovalev would wake up DP57 from his coma????

Adjusted for games played, Pietrangelo is out-producing Boyes right now.

Jus' sayin...

Stamkos has more goals by himself then our top 3 scorers put together.

I know this is a ridiculous measure for success, but when do you think we'll see an offensive player on the Blues who cracks the top 50 scorers list?

Pavolina cracked the top 10 a few times. Very quietly, but he did.

That's the running answer to 99% of Blues fans questions and/or concerns about the team.

I'm sick and tired of Boyes. He brings nothing to the table. I don't even care if he makes big $$ or not. That doesn't bother me since it's not my money and we're not in cap trouble. He's not particularly good at anything, certainly not scoring. His last goal was a (virtual) empty netter/garbage goal. The net was 100% open and he roofed it, nearly missing high.

The last interview he gave that I saw was before the Wings game and he had about as much intensity in his words and expression as a turtle. I remember last year I think, they did a piece on him buying a house here and he had a big fancy BBQ grill that was missing a part. He fixed it himself as well as other little things in his house. Hey, Mr. fix-it. Fix your goddamn head. Your "skillz" have been crap for 100+ games and I would honestly rather have Janssen playing more minutes.

Boyes is 100% invisible out there. He looked really good for about a week, when he netted about 75% of his total points, and has been completely useless the rest of the year. And all of last year.

There's a reason for that. They have done a really good job putting pieces in place, building from within. This wasn't the year they were expected to become a Cup contender.

As the official sponsor of Brad Boyes, I say we ship his ass out. But then again he stays healthy, but then again the fucker don't do shit.

It's a shame. You can see he has the talent and skills to net 30+...but he just can't finish.
