If it is a concussion (most likely it is) I hope he hangs it up. He has been to good of a player and person to end up a vegetable or a former shadow of himself. To many past great players are having so much trouble in retirement with problems directly related to concussions.

Now we need to reshuffle the lines so we can maximize Grachev in get him into our offensive scheme.

The stars need to die the next time they are in St. Louis. We can't let this shit go on.

I didn't see the game last night, but according to what I've heard the Blues put Andy back in the game after the injury. The Blues say they followed all the NHL concussion protocol. I wonder if they shouldn't be more cautious and leave him out for the rest of the game. I'm not sure if sending him back out causes things to be worse, but I think we've all learned from Perron that just because someone seems OK after head trauma it doesn't mean they're going to end up OK. I think this would be especially true for Andy, who has a long and storied history of missing time with concussions. Any thoughts?

my thoughts... the Blues need to make a deal with the devil or something, because that's already 3 injuries this season (Crombeen, Cola and Mac), 2 of which were in three games of regular season play. The only question now is who gets hurt in the next game? My money is on Pie getting clocked and out until February.

My understanding from reading about it was that Nikitin pushed AMac into the Stars player. Nikitin has had some bad luck so far. Two goals go in off him and now this. Time to see what Chorley can do.

Uh what? Unless I missed something else, McDonald got hurt on the final play of the game.

McDonald took a lick on the last play of the 2nd period. He was down and the trainers attended to him, there was a scrum, etc. When the 3rd period started, he wasn't on the bench, but he eventually came back in during the 3rd period and played down the stretch and was all over the ice.

Oh (Frank).. in my mind that was the 3rd. If that's the case, the Blues training staff need to all be summarily fired. Putting a guy back in who has a history of concussion after he is obviously showing some signs of not being OK is (Franking) criminal.
