Tickets for $11 (mezzanine) or $29 (plaza). Against Vancouver. On a Friday night.

Go to the game, folks. It's cheaper than a handy from goon and the Blues are obviously in need of your money.

Anyone else think this whole concept is kinda ghey? Don't get me wrong, I understand honoring your other city team, bringing them on the ice before the zamboni's in between periods, etc. But the main Blues website is actively encouraging people to wear their Cardinals stuff? Especially not even the same colors... kinda lame. Is this is a hockey game or a Cardinals rally x2?

Talk about bending over...

I agree... I'm a huge Cards fan, but damn, it's not about the Cardinals, it should be about the Blues kicking ass.

Cardinal Nation is huge compared to Blues nation.
The Blues would do well to attract more of the Cardinal fan base. And it is a classy thing for the Blues to honor the Cardinals and their accomplishments.

If the Blues had done nothing to honor the Cardinals, there would be folks complaining about that.
Some people are never happy.

The Blues are doing the right thing. You guys are just being...well...hell, I don't know what you are being.

I'm sure if the Blues won the cup, Cardinal fans would embrace Payne throwing out the first pitch, or letting David Backes take batting practice, etc.

This just in. Tony LaRussa woke up this morning to wipe Pujol's Pujol after his morning constitution. That is all.

Guys...it's the friggin' World Series, and it may very well be the most exciting World Series ever played...certainly the most exciting finish to a WS game in game 6, and the Cardinals made one of the most amazing runs in history to get there.
The city is STILL buzzing about it.
Plus, it was a slightly bigger deal because LaRussa is retiring...so there was an extra story there.

Most Blues fans are also Cardinal fans and I'm guessing most Blues fans enjoyed this. You guys are in the minority I suppose.

Personally, I really enjoyed LaRussa, Freese & Carp going out for the puck drop, FSMW having them on in the booth during the game and interviewing them inbetween periods.
It was cool to hear how Freese grew up a fan of the Blues, about how he was jazzed about them giving him a Blues jersey, and hearing them say how great the Blues have treated them.
It was cool to see LaRussa on the edge of his seat at the end of the game, rooting the Blues on.
It was neat to see Carpenter skating in practice with the Blues, and hearing how he is a season ticket holder now, and how hockey is his first love.

The Blues were all class in honoring the Cardinals on Saturday.

I think some of you Debbie Downers and Negative Nancys can put up with one Blues game where they do this. :thumbsupcards:

I doubt the Cardinals would ever do anything like this for the Blues...yeah they have Blues players throw out first pitches ever now and then..woopty doo. I just don't see it happening.

I'd Love to see Backes and the Stanley Cup at a Cards' game in JUNE!!

I'm SURE the crowd would show ample appreciation!

I don't even remember hearing anything when a Blues player did that last.

I mentioned this but the last time I can recall a Blues player tossing out the first pitch was when Paul Kariya did it right after he signed with the Blues. I think the organizations in St. Louis have a pretty good respect for each other (obviously with Cards being king) and I have a feeling if the Blues pulled off a miracle and won the Cup, the Cards would acknowledge that in some way.

This thread is exactly what I expect from Blues fans. As a Blues fan I have to admit, we are the worst fan base in the NHL. Sure, we show up to the games for the most part, but our fans are giant hunks of $hit. Thanks for confirming this.
