When does Pietrangelo get grouped with the Norris candidates? This kid is a stud!

If they don't have the winged wheel on the jersey, they're not considered. Against the rules.Winning Unlimited wrote:When does Pietrangelo get grouped with the Norris candidates? This kid is a stud!

Welp, a win is a win. 2 pts are 2 pts. Thus on and so forth
This was just beautiful in the NHL.com post-game article:
This was just beautiful in the NHL.com post-game article:
The surging Blues improved to 7-0-1 in their last eight games. They've earned at least a point in a franchise-best 14 straight home games (12-0-2), and they've also gone 10 straight games without allowing a third-period goal while winning an NHL-best 20th home game (20-3-3).

A win is a win. But, we really need to find the back of the net more against teams like this.
That being said, I'm not going to start complaining about wins now, so GO BLUES!!

You have a point though. For as much offensive depth as we have, we SHOULD be getting goals from everywhere and it just hasn't been happening.cardsfan04 wrote:A win is a win. But, we really need to find the back of the net more against teams like this.

Steen and McDonald being out with Stewart in a funk season isn't helping but I think we were all expecting more of an output this year. But still, you don't have to score much if you're not letting many goals in, and at 94 goals against, only the Bruins have let in fewer goals this season in the NHL and the Blues lead the West- and by a healthy margin against the majority of teams.
As long as we stay stingy, we'll be alright. Rock star goaltending helps too

Good thing the offense is firing on all cylinders...
If we can only muster one against Edmonton, especially after peppering Khabibulin in the 1st period, I don't even know what to think. Tarasenko, where are you?
I'm thrilled they won, but as we've become accustomed to saying--you can't win 1-0 every game. Throw Halak a bone, will ya?

Let's also give some credit to Khabibulin. Dude made some terrific saves. There were times the Blues shot the puck right into his chest (notably Berglund after he side-stepped/deked the defenseman), but he weathered the initial storm and allowed the Oilers to get some chances.
I'm not happy with the offensive output, for sure. I figured the Blues would have had 3-4 goals by the time the first period was up. I think the scoring will come around though. As many chances as the Blues created last night, if they keep that up, the goals will come.

That was the most one sided 1-0 game I've ever seen. The Blues absolutely dominated in both the 1st and 3rd.
It is disturbing that nothing went in (similar to the Dallas game) but if the team plays like that every night, they will score goals and they will keep winning.

If the Blues can't light up Ryan Miller Saturday, then we will know they are unable to score and not just getting stoned by hot goalies regularly...that dude is a sieve recently.

Which means he should find his form tomorrow.Carl Racki wrote:If the Blues can't light up Ryan Miller Saturday, then we will know they are unable to score and not just getting stoned by hot goalies regularly...that dude is a sieve recently.
