Looks like the Pens have set themselves up to lose 12-8 or some other ridiculous score.

Leading after the 1st period, the Pens stumble their way out of the playoffs will be the headline or something like that.

Truth.

Neither of these teams really play any defense to speak of either but it can't help when you can trickle a beach ball through your goalie's five hole.

6-3.

I think you could line up the teams 1-10 in the west and any one of them could beat either one of these sorry ass teams just on defense alone.

Bryzgalov pulled.

Oh, did we mention there's 12:30 to go in the second period?

You've gotta think no matter who either of these teams play next will just destroy them.

Seriously? 7-3 Pens halfway through the game.

9-3... goonery emerging. Rinaldo just took a crosschecking penalty and probably a rough, and probably a 10 min misconduct. Call upcoming.

If the Pens manage to blow this 9-3 lead they might as well drop out of the NHL.

Whoever their backup goalie is - he does not belong in the NHL, period. Not yet anyway. And Bryzgalov himself is a backup at best. He was put on waivers once upon a time for a reason.

Sure the goalies played poor but nearly every shooter was wide open....not a defender in sight.

I can't believe the Flyers signed Bryzgalov to that insane contract.

What was it, 9 years, 50 million bucks?

For a goalie without a good playoff run under his belt?

I couldn't believe someone on NHL Radio had the nerve to say, prior to Game 4, Bryzgalov was playing well. I certainly would not consider surrendering 3, 5, and 4 goals "good". Heck, 12 GA in 3 games?? That's horrible for the playoffs. Then throw in 5 more in game 4?? 17 GA in 4 games??

Yeah. Bryzgalov is clearly NOT a playoff caliber goaltender.

When the winner of this series runs into a defensively responsible team such as the Bruins or the Rangers they will be easily eliminated. No defense + No goaltending will never get you far in the playoffs, this isn't the 80s.

The Flyers are losing on purpose so they can play more games which means permeating more money into the economy. What sportsmanship.

I can totally see Pittsburgh coming back to win this series.

I picked the Penguins in 7 anyway...so...

Yeah, Bernie had good ole Joe Micheletti on yesterday and he came up just short of actually predicting a come back.

BTW, who does Malkin think he i,s trying to light-up his own teammate like that? Barrett Jackman?

Good news. Looks like Philly is going to take the series (up by two with 13 minutes to go)
