Wow what a game. I was lucky enough that my buddy called me with tickets that were 3 rows off the ice and the place was pretty loud all night. Bergie has just been playing like a beast so far and really strong on the puck. There were a lot of Shark players going after him and I would have liked to seen a Blues player stand up for him. As others have said, Polak is a scary human being that will kill a fool once you make him mad. In my mind, sitting Stewie and playing Crombeen was a mistake. At least Stewie CAN score and play physical. Crombeen didn't do anything productive out there on the ice tonight.

After the game, me and my buddies waited around for 30 minutes so traffic would clear out and as we were leaving the parking garage we saw Hitchcock walking out to his car. We yelled at him and he waved. Cool way to end a sweet night

Stewart is a floater. BJ hustles his ass off, kills penalties and he'll fight. Screw Stewart.

Just got done watching the last period. Holy heck...I love this team.

I believe it was Langenbrunner that started the end of game festivities. That's a message that this team won't take any crap. And yes...Polak is fricking scary. Jesus, that dude is a St. Louis BLUE in a Plager type way!

My only disappointment was having to watch the San Jose feed and listen to them complain about everything as if the Sharks are a bunch of ice-dancers...oh wait, they are.

Oh, and Backes...nice to have you back. I was ready to call his ass out. But I believe his game is back.

Wow.

When Elliot took over, I posted on Facebook that I feel much comfortable with Elliot in there anyway. Elliot seemed much more focused and prepared than Halak did in game one. I don't see Halak igniting that spark that he had with Montreal. So far, Elliot has a shutout. I say this is fate and I hope Elliot stays in - at least for this series.

I'm not going to any of these games until the Blues can advance to the second round.

So.... the Sharks are running around all game long, targeting the head with elbows & shoulders...and McClellan is whining about a cheap shot against one of his players?

What a douche.

There was a fight earlier in the game where a Shark player threw and uppercut well after the refs had come in and the fight was over. I guess McClellan missed that. I guess McClellan missed Crombeen getting punched in the face while being held from behind by another Shark.
And I'm guessing McClellan is choosing to over look Burns' fooray with Nichol's head.

Through the visor?? Nice job Vlad! That guy looked so pathetic lying on the floor with his arm up. Pity Braun doesn't have anything broken. The Polak freight train made a nice stop on his face.

Vladdie tagged him with a left at the beginning of the fight. That may have done the trick.

And surprise, surprise- Shanahan is not reviewing any of the shots to the head of Blues players, because he is too busy. NHL Tonight specifically mentioned the hits by Braun and Burns as deserving review, but Shanahan can't be bothered due to Eastern conference shenanigans. How convenient that Blues players again take shots to the head, but the hits are not deemed worthy of review by Shanahan. BS! Make the damn time to do your job biased dickhead!

I would have rather of had Reaves in the game versus BJ or Stewart.

Wow...a serious blow to the head by a blatant elbow, and the Sharks announcers act like it was nothing. "glanced off the head of Nichol".

Idiots.

We have 15 forwards with the team, right? Stewart, Schwartz, and Reaves were healthy scratches, right? 3 spots are flexible for suspensions, if necessary. Just sayin...

McDonald's cracked helmet from the apparently clean elbow he took in game #2:

Shanahan is an idiot.

I'm just glad that wasn't 2 inches lower.
