Apparently DJ King's brother Dwight plays for the Kings. Either I had no idea or had completely forgotten this. So there's that nugget.

I got to watch the loss last series so perhaps it could be important for me to attend a game 1 to keep things on the even kiel.

These teams match up very well from top to bottom with my one reservation being if LA decides to run our Goalie they could run us right out of the playoffs. As we already saw it only takes one botched move around the goal to create a post-season altering injury. I'm not a big believer in Halak being available any time soon and I hope that I am wrong.

For the hockey fanatic I think this will be a great series and very low scoring. That being said it could be brutal for the "SHEEP" fans that will herd into the 200 seats during this series. I expect some whining about it in between periods for sure.

I'd rely on Curt for this but I am pretty sure that is my first post in 3 years.

LET'S GO BLUES!

This is going to be one tough series.

IMO, Berglund is key. The Backes line can do their thing, but the Blues need that second line to do some damage. This is of course hoping that Hitch can role his four lines making the Blues the speedier team.

I bet the players don't mind it either. All that travel has got to suck.

Thursday night = work night, Sunday night = work night, ergo I will be absent from game 3 and 4. Too bad they couldn't either move game 3 forward to Friday or game 4 back to Saturday.

LA is a shorter flight for sure. Why don't you take some of the SF boys down there? Them WashU products should support the Blues.

Blame the NBA. Lakers, Clippers, Kings all share Staples Center. Lakers have homecourt in the 1st round, so there go two nights in LA. Clippers then would have home games during the 2nd part of their 1st round series. Take out 2 more nights. Voila! 2-day breaks betwen games when out in LA.

Interesting note: if Ottawa beats NY and Florida beats NJ in their game 7's, then every team in the second round would have not won a cup before, with the exception of Philly back in 75. Even if the Blues don't win - and don't get me wrong - I WANT them to win - but in the rare occasion they do not, at least there' a likely chance a team's going to notch it who hasn't had it before.

It feels like an eternity has passed since the last time the Blues played a hockey game.

This wait is driving me nuts.
