So which goalie gets traded for scoring in the offseason?
That goonery against Petro decided the whole series. We're just not the same team.

Absolutely disgraceful. This team has completely quit in a freaking playoff game. Hitchcock fail.

That's a bullshit excuse. Everyone looks like shit right now. Headless chickens. Petro has nothing to do with this - LA just has our number tonight.Nyghtewynd wrote:So which goalie gets traded for scoring in the offseason?

This is the 2nd time in two games when a King gets only 2 (Frank) mins for the exact same thing that costs Stewart 3 games earlier in the season. WTF?

That may have been the worst period of hockey in Blues franchise history. And that's saying something.

I get home from work, sit down in front of the TV expecting 1-0 (which I heard on the radio) or maybe 1-1. but no. 4 FVCKING NOTHING! Stick a motherfvcking fork in the boys, try to get Tarasenko over for next season and start over. This shit is done.

Not that it makes much difference but Penner was a stride and a half offside on the Carter goal.

Gotta wonder if all of Hitchcock's bravado concerning Petro and his subsequent absense swept the rug out from under the players in the same way it did for the fans. I know when the announcers ruled him out pregame, I (probably along with everybody else) immediately thought, "oh shit." Man, this is wild. The Kings are the Hawks to the Blues' D-5 right now.

If I want to know how to destroy a franchise, I'll call Mike Keenan. Until then, he should be doing windows in a used car lot.

Dude, in my lifetime, the Blues have made the WCF exactly twice. One of those times I was too young to give a flying shit about hockey. This team has seen coaches come and go, great offensive superstars like Hull, Oates, Gretzky and Emerson, great defensive superstars like Pronger, MacInnis, Brown and Brewer and the one constant is that if this team makes the playoffs, there is ALWAYS a letdown once they get there. This wasn't our year. Losing Pie is obviously huge, and if this game is proving anything to Army, it's that Pie must be a number one priority when it comes contract time. Let's regroup, get Tarasenko in here, a full year from Schwartz, hopefully retain Langenbrunner or Arnott (not both) just to continue with a little extra veteran guidance for one more year, and a couple of FA veteran d-men for depth. We'll be back next season, but unless there's some major soul searching and a colossal miracle which transpires whilst in La-La Land, this season ain't happening.dmiles2186 wrote:I'm not giving in. What a (Franking) disgrace to St. Louis.
Re: GDT: 4/30/12 > Game 2 > Blues v Kings > 8:00 PM > CNBC
Massive selection problem. Taking Stewart out and not putting Reaves in creates a MAJOR size problem. Crombeen vs. King was a joke - Reaves would have meshed him into a pulp. Bad bad decision. Not because of Stewart alone, but for the combination of things.

And the short-lived "we're pissed and now we're coming after you" was exactly that... short lived. You know what? Put Allen in. Give him a taste of what the NHL is like and see what happens. What could it POSSIBLY hurt at this point?
