Blues Eulogy

Postby gaijin » Tue May 08, 2012 7:47 am

From http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/eulogy-remembering-2011-12-st-louis-blues-204959749.html;_ylt=Ar5XX2yxWh6O7PhFQv.4iYV7vLYF

Written by a Sharks fan.

Funny, but a pretty weak attempt at scorn. The whole thing has the feel of coming from a sore loser, rather than containing any serious burns.

I did laugh at the Ninja Turtle reference to Pietrangelo, though.

I thought I sensed a touch of hypocrisy: a Sharks fan--presumably a Californian--criticizing St. Louisians for having crappy pizza made with fake cheese? Y'all both suck at pizza. The end.

I've had pizza in Italy. It's pretty fantastic and probably the best pizza I've ever had.
Just sayin'.

I've also had Chicago pizza...also fantastic.
Joe's Pizza in Edwardsville makes a very good Chicago deep dish.

I can't imagine why it would be fantastic in Italy...

Magic? He'll get the Dodgers back on track... stable ownership does wonders for a franchise.

Curt your website is so modern, it's hard to believe you're actually stuck in the 80's.

I was on my way there, but then my brother called me on my brick-sized car phone, so I turned down Devo playing in the cassette deck, and he told me that 'V' the mini-series was about to start. So I turned my Firebird around and headed back home. I of course stopped to pick up some Garbage Pail Kids cards and Pop Rocks. I got home, grabbed some Fruit by the Foot gum, ran downstairs (tripping on some micro-machines), put on my slap bracelet, caught the end of Dukes of Hazzard, saw commercials for Pogo Ball, My Pet Monster & Madballs and a quick news clip about how crazy women were fighting in the stores over Cabbage Patch dolls before Voltron came on...which I would have considered watching had it been the Voltron Lions and not retarded Vehicle Voltron. I checked the other stations (all 5 of them...2, 4, 5, 11, & 30) and finally found 'V'...otherwise, yes, I would have been playing Dragon's Lair at the arcade. Along with Donkey Kong & Galaga. Probably would have went to Pantera's arcade and had a "Hunk" pizza with a Pepsi Free.

Still love playing arcade games at Pantera's while enjoying a Hunk pizza. I used to works there and probably spent more then half my tips in those machines.
