That would be cool. I doubt it happens...but it would be a nice gesture.
That would be nice but I doubt we will get anything from the NHL.
Yup they will still charge full price for center ice for half a season, and still black out your home team games.

It's a moot point because there's no way they reach an agreement in time to save some semblance of a season. If they were going to, it would have been over the past couple of days. Thursday, we get the news and then it's back to square one. At that point, I'm sure they won't schedule any meetings for months and months and then start over in about September right back where they began.

Thank the dark lord it's only a month and a half to pitchers and catchers and we have NFL playoffs to fill the void in between.

I hate baseball more than any other sport in the world. Don't know if its because I live in the St. Louis area and the Cardinal fans are as full of shit as Yankee fans or I'm just tried of the media coverage. Either way.

Deal may be done. Haven't seen an official announcement, but I saw a retweet of Bret Hedican saying he has multiple sources that there is a deal.

And, if we can't trust Hedican as an authority on the lockout, who can we trust?

Yeah, until it's official, I'm going to be nervous, but it seems to be a good sign. I also saw a tweet since posting that from an agent that says NHL leaked that to put pressure on the players.

Looking more into this on twitter and I'm getting very skeptical. Seems the first tweet came from former player Jeff O'Neil with no back up source just everyone re-tweeting him.

This is a good article from Thursday:

NHL lockout: On Day 110, stupidity reigns

Interesting quote which seems like the owners are trying more to screw each other with this CBA than anything else:
The cap debate is its own big ball of stupid, with the NHL seeking a $60 million limit for the next full season, and the NHLPA asking for $65 million per team. Since there is an agreement that escrow will not be capped, and since Chris Johnston of the Canadian Press reported that the salary floor would be set at $44 million regardless of where the cap winds up, the actual dollar figure only serves to limit or enhance the roster flexibility of the richest teams. Players are going to get the same amount of actual dollars (50 percent of hockey-related revenue. Remember that fight?) no matter what, so the only benefit of a lower cap would be to rivals of teams like the Vancouver Canucks, who have $55.4 million worth of cap hits committed to 13 players for 2013-14, and would have to scramble like crazy to comply. The Montreal Canadiens, already in the midst of a rebuilding project, have $60.2 million — over the league’s proposed cap — committed to 16 players.
So the the cap ceiling will have zero impact on what the players get (50/50 revenue split happens regardless of cap), yet it is still part of the problem??

In other words, I am not believing anything until the owners quit playing stupid games with their offers.

I heard the cap issue and pension issue were both solved today. Cap is 63 mil with a 44 mil floor. They are extremely close to closing this but it's not over till the fat man stands at the Podium.

It is still a player issue when it comes to players losing their jobs because of teams restructuring for the lower cap.

Regarding the possibility of a deal being done, is that an E5?

Talks are done for the night begin tomorrow at 1030 ET. I really do think we will have a deal before monday(or announced monday). I haven't heard much on the nhlpa dissolving issue, so thats a good sign.
