I'm doing this because it's been so long I forgot where the roster actually stands.

Last season: 49-22-11 - 109 pts - 1st in Central, 2nd in Western Conf
Defeated San Jose Sharks 4-1 in Round 1
Lost to Los Angeles Kings 4-0 in Round 2

Offseason Moves (including presumed minor leaguers)

Re-signed TJ Oshie (5 yrs), David Perron (4 yrs), Jamie Langenbrunner (1 year), Chris Porter (1 yr), Brett Sonne (1 yr), Anthony Peluso (1 yr), Mike McKenna (1 yr), Scott Ford (1 yr), Taylor Chorney (1 yr), Jeff Woywitka (1 yr----oh God), Andrew Murray (1 yr), Vladimir Tarasenko committed to play for the Blues.

Traded BJ Crombeen to Tampa Bay along with a 2014 5th round draft pick in exchange for 4th round picks in 2013 and 2014

Notable players lost: Carlo Colaiacovo (FA, signed w/ Red Wings), Kent Huskins (Free Agent), Jason Arnott (Free Agent)

Team Leaders

54 pts-- David Backes, TJ Oshie
24 Goals-- David Backes
39 Assists-- Alex Pieterangelo
+24-- Alex Steen

Brian Elliott was the Blues' lone representative at the All Star game.

Ken Hitchcock won the Jack Adams Award for coach of the year.
Jaro Halak and Brian Elliott were the William Jennings trophy winners.
Doug Armstrong won General Manager of the Year.

Tom Stillman purchased the Blues after last season ended.
JD's contract was bought out, he's now running the show in Columbus.
John Kelly still has creepy eyes.

With that said, let's hope the Blues kick the crap out of the Central Division again this year.

As pissed as I am about the entire lockout, this made me smile. Let it begin. :letsgoblues:

I had almost forgot how fun last season was. We had a pretty damn good year. Seems like so long ago. When's the schedule coming out?

I also forgot to mention: Nick Lidstrom and Tomas Holmstrom are retiring. Not Blues related, but still great news.

Also worth mentioning that JD isn't here anymore. What impact that has is to be seen.

JD did a lot of great things for the blues and the fans, but I think regardless we are better with Armstrong and Stillman at the front of our office and will see some good improvements.

Not sure I agree here, I like Armstrong as the GM, but JD excelled at public relations, that is something the NHL and Blues need right now to get public support. Stillman, not so much.

Don't get me wrong JD brought the fans back after the lock out and the thing called 05-06. But I really think that this new bunch of head honchos can keep the fans happy(after this year of cooling off from being pissed about the lockout).

JD did a great job at what he did and he will help ignite another team that needs help and then they will push him out the door when they are done with him. Would I love to have him still yes, do I think we need him, maybe right now to cover damage done by the lockout but I really think the fans are here to stay now and Stillman wont stray too far from the path JD put them on as far a fan relations not to mention we have a strong team imagine St Louis if we win the cup in the next few years.

Winning will bring people back. If we don't do that then you will have to go with the gimmicks.

Heard a joke the other day.

Guy was digging around in the attic of a old house he just bought. While digging around he found and old lantern, he spit on the lantern and rubbed it clean with his shirt.

All of the sudden the lantern began to shake and a genie appeared.

He told the man "I will grant you one wish"

The man thought for some time and then told the genie

"I want to live forever," the man said.

"Sorry" said the genie, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"

"Fine" the man said, "I want to die after the St. Louis Blues win the Stanley Cup!"

"You crafty bastard," said the genie

 If he doesn't die this year he will next year :goblues:

Any news on when or if Tarasenko is heading over?

Tarasenko is coming back over. Yesterday, Armstrong said he is 100% sure he is coming back and thinks he will be on a flight in a few days or so.

Dont forget Perron Scored 21 goals in 57 games. I think he can and will do the same or better in this 48 game season.

Everyone is key, but the following players can make this team a lot better if they can do some nice things this year.

- Stewart
- Tarasenko

If Stewart can play with an edge, he'll get his goals. Play mean Chris. If he plays soft, he'll suck again.

I'm very anxious to see what Tarasenko can do. Hopefully he is as advertised, like an Oshie Jr type...plays hard, hits hard and has some goal scoring/playmaking ability. Just don't all him "Tank".

JR just tweeted that the Blues are starting camp with a line of Perron-Backes-Oshie and McDonald-Steen-Tarasenko.

(Frank) yes.

That means the 2nd/3rd line will be D'ags-Bergie-Stewie...? While I like the top two I'm not as thrilled about this one. Especially since we saw what Berg-Stew produced together last season.
