Let's Go Blues

Anybody make it over today? If so, feel free to post notes, pictures, etc.

Per St. Louis Game Time, the lines looked something like this:

David Perron-David Backes-T.J. Oshie

Andy McDonald-Alex Steen-Vladimir Tarasenko

Jaden Schwartz-Patrik Berglund-Chris Stewart

Matt D'Agostini-Vadimir Sobotka-Ryan Reaves

Cole Porter-Scott Nichol-Jamie Langenbrunner

Defense:

Kris Russell- Alex Pietrangelo

Barrett Jackman-KevinShattenkirk

Ian Cole-Roman Polak

Jeff Woywitka-Taylor Chorney

Goal:

Jaroslav Halak & Brian Elliott

Interesting to see Schwartz with Berglund and Stew. That could always change, of course, but good seeing Hitch is throwing him on a line with skill players. Those top three lines are DEEP. There's no elite player in the bunch, but just like last year, the Blues are just going to keep throwing waves of skill players at teams and scoring will come from all over the place.

I made it over for about an hour today. Was cool seeing hockey over there again.

Tarasenko scored a goal and got a small ovation. Nobody had a horn, so somebody started yelling "Honk! Honk! Honk!" to get people to yell "Let's Go Blues!" Didn't get a huge response, but I thought it was kind of funny.

Also, I like Schwartz with Berglund and Stewart a lot. He could be the type of player that helps Berglund step up and Stewart find his game again.

I was there but spent more time chasing my kid around than watching. Tarasanko looked good from what I saw.

Wanted to go...couldn't make it.

Meh not really sure what either one brings to the table but, white does have good playoff experience and I guess he could be brought in to protect our star forwards as well. Just don't need to be taking a bunch of dumb penalties or getting injured when he thinks he still hit like he did back when he played for the devils.

I like it just as depth options. We lost Carlo and Huskins, that means the top two depth defensemen to get call ups would be Woywitka and Chorney. Not exactly an exciting prospect. Having an extra guy would be nice, especially in the shortened season. Depth is key.
