Good to hear. Do you think there is more support for the Blues or the Rams across the STL area? I haven't lived in STL since the greatest show on turf days. Back then all 3 teams were given a lot of love by the city but the blues were still a third compared to the Cardinals(go figure) and the Rams. With the rams being in the shitter the past few years do you think the Blues have overtaken them in fan interest and support?

I think Blues are currently ahead of Rams. But, if Rams were good again they could easily pass them solely because football is so much more popular.

Ratings for Rams games are far higher than they are for Blues games.
Rams will typically draw around a 19-20 rating. The Blues set a FSMW record with a 7.4 against Nashville.
Football is just more popular...but that's not news.
One could argue that Blues fans are for more loyal and passionate, but as far as fans who tune in on tv, the Rams have far greater numbers.

Exactly...comparing the NFL and the NHL is apples and oranges when you're talking about TV ratings.

True, 16 games compared to 82 (or 48 this year obviously) skews the numbers a bit. I think the atmosphere is way better at the Scottrade than at the Jones Dome though. For being a sport that's supposed to be rowdy and loud, the JD has too many people who treat it like a Sunday afternoon at the movies and ask people to sit down, etc.

Totally agreed.

I was down there quite often during the greatest show days and even the Monday night game against Denver to open the season after we won the Superbowl and while the atmosphere was great, it still wasn't the same as Saturday night at the Blues game or like it is during the playoffs. It was 'good' just not the 'same'.

And who wants to shell out the cash to attend a Rams game. I have no clue what the prices are but I heard some tickets are $400 wtf?

The Rams are a distant 3rd in terms of my favorite St. Louis sports teams.

Blues > Cardinals > Rams

I'm a die hard Cardinals fan...but that pales in comparison to how much I enjoy Blues hockey.

I really don't like football. Hockey is a mans sport.
