Lucky Columbus isn't any good, it could have easily been 8-0 but it could have easily been 4-3 the other way. Too many shots against by a lousy team. I'm still waiting for them to gel.

Again, on the road against a team that hates us...and we win 4-1.
I see no problems with this game.
No, the Blues didn't play well for half the game, but they looked unstoppable in the first period...and seeing as how the game turned out, I don't care about the sub-par play.

They weren't going to outshoot every opponent by a wide margin all season long. So that had to come to an end sooner or later.

I'll be concerned if they aren't playing well and losing games. Until then...we're just winning games with one hand tied behind our backs...all the more impressive.

In 5 division games this year, we are 4-1 and have outscored our opponents 19-7. At that pace, we will win the division in a walk...I don't care how well Chicago plays. 8)

Blues are playing way below their ability and still winning games.

Hawks and Sharks are playing at their ability against teams who are playing below theirs.

Hence, when the Blues are at full speed, they'll still be winning, but when the rest of the conference catches up, the Hawks and the Sharks will start losing games.

Winning early is especially important in a compacted season, winning early when your team is only playing 1/3rd of the game decently is very encouraging when you look forward to March and April.
