Is it too early to start a Seth Jones or Nathan MacKinnon debate?

I would say this is more like it, but deep down I know they'll screw it up somehow. Very interesting that the first three goal scorers all bagged their respective #6. Deal with the devil to actually win a game?

Thank God! Allen gave up some soft goals, but he battled back and made some big saves from the 2nd period on. The D stabilized, guys were blocking shots, and the offense started to click. The Blues went and started to attack the game from the 2nd on. They finally decided to nut up and make some plays. Huge relief. Now, let's keep it rolling.

Glen, you reverse jinxed the SHIT out of that game. A toast to you, man.

Another toast to Jake Allen. 1st start, he made some big saves. Happy for him, especially considering he got the W in that house of horrors. HELL YES!
:detsucks:

This is the weirdest GDT ever.

Anyway, after the first 10 minutes of this game I was convinced this was going to be another egg of a game but they proved me wrong. They came out in the second and really put together some good hockey for once. The third was impressive as well, especially defensively. There were moments throughout that I thought they got a bit too passive and seemed to just let the Wings skate into the zone but that's really my only negative from the game. Allen played adequately; not great but made some good saves.

Berglund, Stewart and Oshie specifically stood out to me tonight. Impressive games for them, especially Oshie. His play mirrored almost exactly how Backes said guys needed to start playing. For the most part everyone played more as a team, were more physical and aggressive and played with a sense of urgency that's been seriously lacking lately. They attacked the puck harder, skated harder and the positive results came from it.

They looked dismal in the first period, but they really turned it on in the second and started playing at the level that we all know they are capable of. Allen looked better and better the more he played. Rutherford said that Hitch plans on starting him in Calgary, which I am not opposed to. The Steen, McDonals, Tarasenko line looked exceptional, hopefully Hitch doesn't split them up anymore. Oshie looked possessed, making all of the right plays and giving 100% every shift. That pass he made to Berglund was (Franking) sick. Perron even looked a bit better. Stewart played well. Hopefully this was the turning point and the Blues put their skid behind them.
