Can this board overcome adversity?

Sweet lord.. we lose some games, have a few injuries, make a few bad plays, and you guys are ready to throw the baby out with the damn bath water.

People are talking about Oshie being a slacker and Backes not being C material. That Hawks thread reads like you're all trying to troll newcomers to the board with exaggerated skepticism.

So, who is at fault here?

Is it cprice? Has his absentee leadership style finally brought on the demise of the work ethic of the fans on this board?

Is it Ponder? Has his quest for journalistic fame dulled his resolve on the board and in the stands?

Is it richted? Have his partying ways finally caught up with him, leading to a deep depression that only allows him to see the negative side of things?

It's time for some god damn accountability on this board.

Get your heads out of your asses and support your team. The injured players will come back, somebody will get traded, Stillman will spend some more money he doesn't have, and we'll live happily ever after. If the parking garage terms ever get re-negotiated, we may even sign a true star at some point.

Were not playing Blues hockey, getting outworked only play a good 10 minutes of a game. Lack of leadership could be the issue.

Why would you pay attention to facts?

That's one thing about us blues fans... absolutely no honest negative observations will be tolerated. Even when the players and coaching themselves admit to problems...we better not talk about them.

It was fine to rip Brewer and bash him for being a poor leader when the team quit on Kitch and Murray....but 'how dare you question Backes' leadership when the squad lays down this time.

I'm not even talking W's and L's....I'm talking effort level. This team has been flat more often then not over the last 12 or so games and that constitutes 25% of the season this year. Like it or not....it's an issue.

I agree with you about 'accountability on the board'... people should forget whose name is on the back of their jerseys and worry a lot more about the name on the front of it.

The fact is this is a very - very talented team that showed through an entire season last year and the first 3-4 week of this year that they can play with anyone. That team has not been seen in quite some time. It's only reasonable...er.... responsible to look for answers.

Many of us are playing for the name on our backs, not for the one chests.

I blame Ross Perot... err Ray Vinson I mean. Anyone who does commercials with Bernie should be at least partly to blame for everything.
