He was making one of those saves where the goalie does the splits. Looked like one of his skates just kept going and the splits went too far. He probably re-injured the groin which caused him to miss games earlier this season.

After tonight, I have about had it.

I know people here like Halak and for good reason, but when are we going to get to the point of saying 'Maybe we should trade him, for his own good and ours'? This is the fourth time he's been hurt in 2 years and all from the same nagging injury. The front office would do well to move him and a second for a player that can help us now and ride the Elliott/Allen train. Halak does us absolutely no good being out of the fight and costing us 4m at the same time. Elliott made us believe and Allen makes us hopeful of the future. What does Halak do?

Seriously, is Halak really hurt or does he just not want to play here?

24 hours ago Halak might have had some trade value. Right now he has none.

This. Unfortunately.

Teams are going to want to see him get healthy (again) and stay healthy for an appreciable period of time, while playing well, before they would be willing to give up anything more than token compensation.

... In other words, Halak getting back to the exact point at which we wouldn't want to trade him.
