I thought Petro looked terrible.
He was mishandling the puck all over the place and frequently got outworked. The Kings were pressuring hard and most of the Blues had a hard time with the transition game. The Blues were out of sync for long stretches.

The Kings simply wanted game #4 more.
Those were the Kings from last year's playoffs. They finally showed up. Their forecheck came in waves and we got hemmed in for long stretches. They crashed the net and took advantage of it.

I think we just saw the Kings at their best...and we had a lead in the 3rd period...so that's encouraging.
LA is a damn good team, and a damn good team at home...so this isn't shocking that they took both home games...but it is disappointing since we should have easily won game #3.

Win our home games and we'll move on.
Game 5 becomes monumental now. Win it and we're in good shape. Lose it and we're in a heap of trouble.

I wasn't going to visit this place today. I figured there would be a Fukushima+Chernobyl style meltdown going on here. You assholes disappoint me at every turn! Where is this meltdown? What is this insightful analysis??

I think that game shook the blues, my question is, does it make them bust their (Franking) hump and close this shit down in 5&6 or do they roll over? I really don't want to drag it out to seven games, but maybe that will get us rolling.
Also if 91 is going to be in the lineup, he should get to actually play, or they should leave Los Quatros the (Frank) alone.

Blues looked gassed for most of the night. Like they were just too tired to play. Lots of circling when you would want start/stops in the defensive end of the ice. I watched #19 stand stock still in no man's land multiple times on the PK and when penned in to the defensive zone. We need our legs if we win this series, and we didn't have it last night.

I think we all knew a game like this one was going to happen in this series, the question is really about how will STL respond. Game 5 will make or break this series imo.

A-mac: I have no idea what people are seeing who are saying he is worthless. He made some good plays to create chances, he's all over the ice, and he's moving his feet. Idk what your expectation is for him when he's playing in Hitch's system. He looks exactly like he should from my seat. Have you noticed that for the most part BOTH teams' big guns have been silent?

Tank: Scratch him from the line-up or play him and his line. We can't shorten the bench in these games.

Ice: That surface was a (Franking) joke. Guys falling all over the place, bouncing pucks, and players looking like they are skating in sand.

If Hitch feels like he has to be stingy with certain forwards' minutes, I'm surprised he hasn't copied off of Sutter and rolled with 7 d men. Russell had played really well until the Leo/JayBo trades forced him out. Plus, as you guys pointed out, Jackman was running on fumes and even managed to allow an odd man rush by falling on his ass. Also, IMO, Russ would be a nicer option than 33 on the PP.

Scratch 91 (again) bring in 4, forget that trip to LA, and start fresh on this best of 3.

I agree with the Dressing seven. Got to fatigue them to win this one. Forgot about Russell. Russell was a total beast when we were running him. I'd almost say switch out 10 with 91 and give the kid a full 60 and put 17 as his wingman. 17's quickly becoming a legitimate setup man and all he need is a finisher.

Ain't worried, we're on track and we're seeing great things from these guys, they just have to keep up.

And for those talking mess about Tank, look, how long did it take Brett Hull to be a breakout star? He wasn't a huge hit when he touched ice for the first year or two, he was just a highly touted one with skill that everyone spoke highly of. Tank is the same way and we'd have seen more of that if it wasn't for two, not one, but two concussions.
I don't think anyone disagrees with that analysis of his game. I'm just not interested in him trying to develop it over six minutes in a game in the playoffs. Either he's not able to play at this level yet, or Hitch isn't willing to play him at this level. He will next year, but it's not next year yet.
I think he's ready now and yeah, 60 or Pine. Can't just throw him in on a whim without a setup and hope it works, we ain't going to win games like that against the Kings. Or anyone else, for that matter. Kind of surprised that Hitch handled it like that, seemed sloppy and abit desperate and that's not like him.

This.

And maybe just me but it looked like after we went up 2-0 everyone in the note collectively thought to themselves "Alright we're good now."

Boom, boom, two quick odd man rushes and it's suddenly a whole different game. In this series, a two-goal lead is something you protect like none other but the Blues went the opposite way and started getting sloppy. Time to dig in.

The second odd man I wish shattendeuces would have dropped onto the pass. I think it would have worked, and changed the game
