January 21 - 25 looks like a great little roadtrip... for me.

Wow, 8 games in 13 days in April.

At first glance, I like the fact we don't have a freaking 20 game road trip anywhere on this schedule. I counted three 5 game homestands and no road trips more than 4 games. Might have missed something along the way but I did go through the schedule twice.

The only time Detroit is in town is the last game of the year... which could be super important, but probably will be a boring formality, which pretty much sucks.

Wow, look at all those games. And after last season, that is not a complement. What a slog.

Yeah only 2 games against Detoilet is somewhat of a drag.

Yeah, while I didn't like the compressed nature of the season, I liked the amount of games.

I really think the NHL plays way too many games. I would like to see them play about half what they do now. It's never going to happen, but it would be nice.

At first I was like WTF, what's going on! Going to be weird hardly playing them anymore. Kinda sucks but life goes on.

We have an entire week off in October? What's the deal with that?

Those that complain the NHL season is too long usually blame the playoffs. Eff that. Keep the playoffs the way they are and reduce the number of regular season games.

Of course, I never get tired of watching hockey, so I don't see a problem at all.

I'm sure I'll start watching games when they start, but it's hard to be that excited about it. Last season, when I missed a game, I felt like I was really losing out on something. This time, not so much.

This reminds me I have to cancel center ice otherwise it renews automatically. If I end up paying for a full season, there's no way I'll ever get back on flashchat, and you know flashchat plus a choppy interwebs stream of a game is infinitely better than watching it on the couch on a fairly large screen TV....

So, sseagle, are you saying I'm an elitist east coast prick?

Also, DMiles, I don't do laptops. Never was a big fan. They always ran hot and didn't last that long for me.

ss will make fun of me for this, but I don't care. Skimming the schedule, it looks like there are only 2- 3 week night games that have a 9 pm or later start. I find that to be most excellent.
