The Blues (rightly in my mind) downplayed setting the franchise win record last night. Obviously the shootout tie-breaker has to be factored in.
Still this version obviously ranks among the Blues' very best with the 80-81, 90-91, 99-00 and 2011-12 teams.
Also very quietly clinched home ice in the first round last night.
If this core wants to claim a legacy that requires no qualifiers or asterices, its sitting right there for them to take. Its the record held by the 85-86 Blues team that went just 37-34-9. The Blues franchise record for playoff wins in a single season. Currently 10.
