I second that, Curt. A win is a win.

I can't say I am comfortable yet, but I was really impressed with the first period of Game 2 by the Blues. There were long stretches where the forecheck was keeping the blackhawks from getting out clean. It looked like what LA did to us last year.

I would love to see a more dominant win, but as long as we have one more goal that they do when the final horn sounds, I'm good.

Suspend Seabrook. What a loser.

And Bickell. Both were deliberate.

Double edged sword here....
Without that 5 minute Penalty on Seabrook, we may not have tied the game up. But it cost us our captain.
Hopefully Backes doesn't miss too much time. It's possible to get your bell rung like that and not have a concussion...but not likely. And if...IF...Backes ends up being ok, I'm sure the Blues won't release that info until after Seabrook's hearing.

Suspend Seabrook for the rest of the series and fine Q again so we can sweep this and move on. We got a Cup to win.
'
The Hawks f'd up big time by giving us a chip to put on the collective shoulder. They've pretty much handed us the series and we got Oshie waiting in the wings. Bad as it's to say, all this does is add wind to our sails and more determination to win. No way they can want it more than us, now.

I just hope Backes is ok and we don't overreact by going after players and hand the series to them. That's their game, not ours.

Skates are off the ice as he launches himself up and into Backes. So the whole "didn't leave his feet" argument is BS.

They need to suspend that b-tch in the green Hawks sweater behind the glass while they're at it. Never been to Chicago but this just makes me feel like it's a city filled with punks.

Take comfort in knowing she probably got a lot of shit after the Blues won in OT...and had to do the walk of shame out of the building and down the street amongst all of the Blues fans.

Man, it has to be soul crushing to have had 3-2 leads in the last 2 minutes of both games and then lost. I think most of the blackhawks will rebound from it, albeit with frustration. But, will Crawford? I think there is potential for him to lose the rest of the series for them. If we can get to him early a couple of times on Monday, that might push him over the edge.

Forget the hit on Backes. That's hockey. This team needs to be in robot mode. Grind, grind, grind... no emotion. No feeling. Just grind 4 lines. That's how you'll win the Cup, beating these fuck1n' losers as the first order of business.

Funny thing is Seabrook is also their leading scorer.

Blues looked downright dominant for the first half of that game. At one point my buddy that I was watching with commented "they could just lock the cameras on the offensive zone" that the Blues were playing in. Amazing effort out of the gate but that's why you have to bury those chances when you get them. It shouldn't have been only 2-0 late in the 2nd period. We needed that 3rd goal and arguably should've had it.

Ott's breakaway was awful.

You know Chicago is going to come out hard in game #3. They are at home and it's a must win game for them. They can't go down 0-3.

With all of the controversy, the Chicago fans are going to be ridiculously loud.

If we can somehow win game #3, that's all she wrote. The Blues should consider it a must win game as well.

This has been an interesting series so far. I was at game 3 last night. Honestly I thought you guys outplayed us - we got lucky on the one goal through Miller which seemed like he should have had but replays showed a slight deflection and that was probably why it got through. But overall you guys were in our zone most of the night. Our defense and goaltending were strong though and allowed us to hold on. Our offense has struggled ever since the Olympic break and our power play blows.

I'm also scratching my head on how you guys lost 9 out of 10 to close the regular season and then quickly bounced back into the strong team you were once the playoffs started. I know guys were hurt but still you guys look like the Blues that had a great season vs. the Blue team that finished the regular season.

Good to hear from another "type" of fan lol.
Stick around man, you seem like you know your stuff and we could always use a new face here.

As far as the change in the team, ask yourself what Chicago would be without seven of its top nine forwards. We sent out ahl and grinders against teams fighting for post season births.

I have been shocked by how little Chicago has been pressing with the lead. Seems like they are playing prevent defense am that usually only prevents you from winning. No doubt Chicago has a stronger top six forwards, but so far it's the defense clearing out picks that's saving these games from being laughers.

Game 4 is huge. If stl wins, I don't think they lose game 5 at home. If chi wins, I don't like stl's chances in a best of three even with two games is our barn.

It's an entertaining series, no doubt.
